David White reposted thisDavid White reposted thisFranklin University made it possible today for hundreds of graduates who walked across the stage and received their diplomas, also receiving the acknowledgement and applause of 1500 family members and friends. Flags and cheers, music and colorful academic regalia, pomp and circumstance—all the elements of a great and memorable day were present. Thanks to Board Chair David White for presiding over the ceremonies. Thanks also to Rev. Ellen O'Shaughnessy for the Invocation and Benediction, and all the volunteers from Franklin who helped make the event a great success. Congratulations to all the graduates!

David White shared this5 years ago I approached a local cycling group and asked if they would partner with me on a vision to get more people of color involved with Pelotonia , the local cancer research fund raiser benefiting researchers at The Ohio State University. Team Wheels of Color has participated in the annual cycling fund raiser since then with 23 riders in the 2026 campaign. In 5 years of participation, team Wheels of Color has raised over $183,000. I am so appreciative of all that have been a part of the team and all the good that their fundraising supports. It takes a village, and this village stepped up!

I don’t want to say they were charged up, but the roof did rattle a little from time to time and the whole Grand Ballroom broke out in singing the Franklin Jingle (come on, you know what I mean—Franklin University Makes It Possible!). Thanks to Board Chair David White and Trustees Pamela Springer and Joseph J Patrick for joining in the ceremonies. David White liked thisA few weeks back, EWI was selected by America Makes to lead INSITE, a $13.2 million national program to tackle a significant barrier to using additive manufacturing on critical defense parts: verifying quality without the inspection process taking as long as the build itself. Having served in the Army, I know first-hand how much warfighters and the defense industrial base depend on parts that perform exactly as designed, every time. Programs like INSITE will help give our military real confidence in components built with newer methods. We're glad to have first-team partners to work with and bring the breadth and depth of capability this project demands. And proud of the EWI team that’s earned the trust to lead it.David White liked thisEWI has been selected by America Makes to lead a new $13.2 million national program aimed at solving one of the biggest barriers to using additive manufacturing for critical defense parts: the cost and complexity of verifying part quality. The three-year INSITE program will pair real-time monitoring with AI-driven analysis to catch potential defects during the build, not just after it, making inspection faster, cheaper, and more targeted. EWI will lead a team that includes Boeing, GKN Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Norsk Titanium, Addiguru, Computational Tools, FormAlloy Technologies, Inc., and TRI Austin. United States Air Force, US Army, and US Navy partners will also contribute to the development of industry and military standards. We’re proud to lead this collaborative effort to advance confidence in additive manufacturing and help create a path toward broader adoption for critical applications. I’m fortunate to work alongside people who believe in what’s possible and consistently turn bold ideas into real impact. This recognition belongs to all of us. Proud of my team. David White liked thisDavid White liked thisFranklin University was pleased to welcome U. S. Representative Michael T.W. Carey (R-Ohio-15) to our campus, along with his staff, to discuss how Franklin contributes to economic growth and development in the 15th District and beyond, across Ohio and around the country. We were happy to share details of our work and hear directly from Rep. Carey about the priorities he sees from his seat in the House and on the Committee on Ways and Means. Economic and business growth is top of mind for Rep. Carey, as it is for Franklin, and we share a belief in the power of education not only to improve the lives of students, but also to increase the success of employers and the attractiveness of Ohio as a venue for business growth and for the attraction of new investment. We were proud also to show off the oldest building on campus, our newly renovated President's Office Building (constructed 1863), along with our Board Room and Ross Auditorium. Thank you, Rep. Carey, for taking the time to visit and exchange thoughts!

After 40 years, George is now closing Black Art Plus, ending one chapter of an incredible entrepreneurial legacy. https://lnkd.in/e-xqbVep I’m so grateful I recently had the opportunity to spend time with him. David White liked thisDavid White liked thisI am so excited to share that next week I’ll be starting a new role as an HR Business Partner, Manager at NiSource! I know most people wait until their official first day to make an announcement, but (especially after today) I already feel like part of the team thanks to the incredible onboarding experience I've had so far. The job market right now can best be described as... humbling. Between total radio silence, waiting weeks for updates, or being ghosted after what felt like promising conversations, my experience with the NiSource team was a breath of fresh air. From the very beginning the process was efficient, transparent, and welcoming. I was never left wondering where I stood. Interviews felt like genuine conversations rather than interrogations, and Julie Benner, and the rest of the team have truly made me feel that they are just as excited to have me join as I am to start. Even from the outside looking in I could tell this was a culture where I could thrive. After a bit of a "soft launch" today, those feelings were completely confirmed. I was invited to participate in part of the team's annual summit, which gave me an opportunity to sit in a room with nearly 150 of my new colleagues from across the region. For an introvert like me that should have been a terrifying experience, but it was the exact opposite. I felt instantly energized just by walking into the room. Honestly, that energy I felt is precisely the reason I decided to make a change. I’ve been working fully remotely since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the last few years of that, I was so far from any offices that popping in for a meeting even if I wanted to wasn't an option. When I started that role, it was exactly what my family needed in that season of our lives; I had a toddler at home managing asthma and food allergies, and being able to be home during her flare-ups without burning through leave was invaluable. But now that she’s grown stronger, started school, and is getting more independent by the day, 6+ years of maintaining professional relationships primarily through a screen finally caught up to me. So, while it seems like most people are actively seeking remote roles right now, I chose to go against the grain and seek a hybrid opportunity for my own well-being and mental health. I can already feel a shift in my energy just from the couple of hours I spent with the team today. It just feels right. I can’t wait to get started. Oh and I am absolutely ecstatic that I get to work with fellow Battelle alumna Suki Wochna again!

Tribal Business News published a piece on data as a strategic asset and the "new sovereignty test" facing Native leaders. The premise: when data becomes your most valuable asset, who controls it, where it lives, and how it flows becomes a governance question, not just a technical one. That framing applies to every organization. Most companies treat data governance as an IT project. But the decisions about which system is authoritative, who can modify records, and how conflicts get resolved are business decisions. They determine who has power, who has visibility, and who gets to make the call when systems disagree. "Data sovereignty" might sound like a government term. In practice, it's the question every operations leader faces every time two systems show different numbers and someone asks "which one is right?" The answer is in the comments 👇 #DataGovernance #DataSovereignty #DataCentralization #RevOps #MasterDataManagement #DataArchitecture Kiefer Hazaz
