Here's what that sign gets absolutely RIGHT about building winning teams 👇 We're obsessed with IQ. With credentials. With "rockstars" and "ninjas." But after 15+ years building sales teams, I've learned something brutal: Smart people who lack humility? They're ticking time bombs. Think about it... That genius who won't listen to feedback? That top performer who belittles teammates? That "expert" who thinks they know everything? They're not building your business. They're slowly destroying it. Here's what ACTUALLY happens when you prioritize kindness and humility: ↳ Team meetings become idea factories (not ego battles) ↳ Mistakes become learning moments (not blame games) ↳ Success gets shared (not hoarded) ↳ People actually WANT to help each other win I've seen it firsthand: The "average" rep who listened to everyone? Became our top performer within 6 months. The "inexperienced" manager who admitted what they didn't know? Built the strongest team culture we'd ever had. The "quiet" team member who always helped others? Now our most valuable leader. Because here's the uncomfortable truth: Skills can be taught. Systems can be learned. Processes can be mastered. Cheers to an incredible year behind us and so much goodness and success ahead for you. #SAPConcur #SAPAnn Jesse liked thisOfficially wrapping up my first rotation as a SAP STAR Intern on the SAP Concur Marketing Shared Services Demand Generation team and what a year it’s been! Finding the balance as a STAR Intern, Full-time Student, and Managing Director of Gonzaga Sport Consulting Group has not been easy at all, but it has led to one of the biggest years of growth in my life. Having the opportunity to make a real impact in industry while still in university has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m extremely proud of everything I’ve accomplished throughout this rotation. Some of the projects and accomplishments I’m most proud of this year include: • Nurture Optimization: Audited 11 personas by pulling and analyzing six months of email performance data for each. Through this analysis, I identified potential email-checking bot inflation within footer click metrics and developed recommendations for new CTA language, subject lines, and email template structures. After presenting findings and helping implement these changes across all 11 personas, the updates drove an average +18.6% CTOR lift. I also built entirely new nurture streams for both IT and Procurement personas based on these insights and optimization principles. • Banner Ad Creation: Designed and produced 614 banner ads across multiple campaigns, verticals, formats, sizes, and creative variations while balancing brand consistency with campaign performance goals. • Video Production: Learned and utilized the AI video platform Synthesia to script, create, and produce campaign videos supporting marketing initiatives. • Lead Gen Analysis: Conducted a large-scale analysis of 401 ads across 8 quarters and 6 personas to identify trends in keywords, colors, timing, and caption length that most effectively drove lead generation performance. The insights and recommendations from this project will help guide future campaign strategy and optimization efforts. • Content Dashboard Revamp: Helped redesign the Content Team’s Adobe Analytics dashboard to improve visibility into Resource Center engagement and performance metrics, helping create more actionable reporting for the team. Huge thank you to my amazing team Brandi Weden, Ryan Oliver, Marisa Farella, MBA, Vanessa Razo for all of the mentorship, support, and guidance throughout this year. I’m incredibly grateful for the time each of you invested in helping me grow professionally and personally. This experience would not have been the same without all of the time and energy you have invested into me! A special thank you as well to Shyra Davis Shenker for your continued guidance, advocacy for my growth and development, and for giving me this incredible opportunity. For example, one of my latest personal inspirations is from my daughter. She has been excelling at riding her bike and wants me to run with her while playing her favorite songs, so she can ride and sing. My motivation…to become a faster runner, so in turn, I can enjoy listening to my daughter sing and hear her encouraging words for me to run faster. From a work standpoint, our team has taken on a new challenge that has me learning a lot of new skills and pushing me out of my comfort zone. My motivation…making sure that we continue to excel when it comes to the ever-changing programmatic landscape. Additionally, it has the potential to make our media dollars work harder. While my coworkers are not asking me to play their favorite songs, we are encouraging each other as we learn these new skills. While motivation can certainly get us to run faster or challenge ourselves professionally, it is determination and consistency that continue to push us forward! He was the kind of person who always lent a hand, always supported his family, and was simply always there when people needed him. He loved soccer, loved his family deeply, and brought so much kindness and strength to the people around him. Even though he’s no longer with us, he’ll absolutely be with us on this walk. For anyone in the Greater Vancouver area, me and the dogs will be there, and I would genuinely love to see anyone who is available to join us and walk in support of everyone impacted by brain tumours. And for those not local, donations and shares are always deeply appreciated. Every contribution helps support brain tumour research, advocacy, and support programs for families navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.
