Projects

  • Build Log Analytics Application using Apache Spark

Built Apache Access Log analytics application using Apache Spark architecture to detect anamolies and highlight the outliers. The application depicts various trends from Traffic flow, frequent End point hits to suspicious visitors.

Tech- Stack : Apache Spark, Pyspark, Spark SQL, Matplotlib, Python
    Dataset: Apache Access Logs

    See project
  • Intruder Detection through Webpage Session Tracking

Predicted whether a webpage session belongs to legitimate user or someone else, by training ML models on sequence of historical visits, used sequential pattern mining techniques.

  • Indexing Tool - Distributed System

Developed a distributed system using Hadoop MapReduce framework for construction of inverted index on large scale documents to improve search query performance and also relevancy by pre-processing using NLP constructs.

Technologies & Frameworks: Java, Hadoop Map-Reduce, Stanford CoreNLP

  • Live Tweet Analysis of continuous streaming data using Apache Spark

    -

What people are tweeting about now, in your desired location?
    • Used Client Server connection to continuously extract data from Twitter and used as a streaming source to Spark
    • Analyzed the streaming data using spark RDD, Dataframes and used various spark operations like Map, Reduce, updateStateByKey for analysis on the tweets every 10 seconds

    • Tweet analysis based on a specific location and radius is also supported to get the live nearby trends

DataSource : Live Stream of Tweets
Tech Stack: Spark, Python, Flask, HTML, Javascript

  • Experiments with De-noising and Stacked Autoencoders

    -

Demonstrated the effect of greedy layer wise pre-training criterion and how it helps to achieve significant results on supervised classification task for deep neural architectures, for very less labelled data.

    Dataset : Fashion MNIST

  • Conversational Question Answering System

    -

Developed a novel architecture for machines to answer series of interconnected questions in a conversation using Bi-Directional Attention flow network and Sequence to Sequence Model.

    Dataset - CoQa Stanford Challenge

  • Enhanced Naïve Bayes model in Natural Language Processing for Sentiment Analysis

    -

Developed a novel approach for improving the accuracy of Naive Bayes classifier for sentiment analysis. Factored in methods like effective negation handling, word n-grams and feature selection by mutual information and observed amalgamation of these results in a significant improvement in accuracy. We achieved an accuracy of 85.0% on the popular IMDB movie reviews dataset. Thus built a highly accurate and fast sentiment classifier which has linear time training and testing time complexities…

Thus built a highly accurate and fast sentiment classifier which has linear time training and testing time complexities which is at par to the start-of-the-art SVM models. The proposed method can be generalized to a number of text categorization problems for improving speed and accuracy.

Technologies & Framework: Java, Stanford CoreNLP

  • Criminal Hotspot Detection using Machine Learning

    -

Developed an application for interactive analysis of historic crimes by hotspot detection and classification of risk terrains using clustering algorithms in R based on geographical information and various criminal attributes.

    Technologies: R
    Algorithms: K-Means, Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering
    Dataset: http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/communities+and+crime

  • Library Management System

    -

Managed the database of books with various data structures in C such as Arrays, Linked List, and B-Tree and implemented functions like search, sort, insert, delete, and update with efficient algorithms
