Set due dates for recommended or assigned Learning content

Last updated: 2 months ago
LinkedIn Learning allows admins to set a due date for any learning path, collection, custom content, or course recommended to an organization's learners.

As an admin, you can edit or remove a due date from recommended content, or delete entirely the recommended content. (See Related tasks section below.)

Important to know

Admin functionality isn’t available within the Learning mobile app. To access Learning Management, please use a desktop device.

To set a due date for content you've recommended to your learners:

  1. From Learning Management, click Content.

  2. In the search bar or Library or Featured tabs, browse or search for content you'd like to share with individual learners, or groups.
  3. When you've found content you'd like to recommend with a due date:
    • For searches: Click More then Recommend or assign.
    • For content tabs: Click Share then Recommend or assign.
  4. After you've entered the learners or groups you want to recommend the content to, and added a note, choose Assign Learning Path due on.

  5. Select the due date from the pop-up calendar. When you've set a due date, you still have the option to edit or remove it.

  6. Click Recommend/Assign.

Notes

  • Learners aren't required by LinkedIn Learning to complete the courses by the due date.
  • You have access to reports on each recommended course. The reports provide details on how many learners have completed the course. (See Learn more section below.)

  • Review our frequently asked questions to learn more about the Recommendations History page. (See Learn more section below.)

  • After you have recommended or assigned content to your learners, a reminder email is sent to them 2 weeks later if not they have not completed the recommended content or 3 days before due date if you have assigned the content.
