  • Our Houston Waste Connections Commercial Drivers Academy hosted a session for the kids of our employees on Defensive Driving! Their lesson introduced participants to the fundamentals of safe driving, blending classroom instruction with hands-on guidance from our experienced team. It gave our young drivers the chance to build skills, ask questions, and gain confidence in a supportive, hands-on environment.

  • Community makes everything possible! Through our annual WC Golf Classic for Kids, we were able to donate $80,000 to the Montgomery County Women's Center, an organization that provides life-changing support to those who need it most. These funds will help support critical programs right here in our community. We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, players, and volunteers who came together to make this impact. A $100,000 moment that sparked incredible momentum in the room. ✨🙌 Waste Connections was the first company to step forward during our “Build a House” paddle raise at the gala, donating a transformational $100,000 that will help fund a future Marble Creek home. 🏡 The impact was immediate, setting off a wave of generosity that carried through the rest of the evening. Special thank you to Michelle (Raynaud) Little of Waste Connections for serving as our emcee and bringing so much heart and energy to the night. We are deeply grateful for Waste Connections’ continued investment in our mission and the way they show up for our community. Together, we build stronger communities. #habitatmctx #habitatforhumanity #wasteconnections #buildinghopegala

  • We’re proud to recognize Clay Richardson, who was recently honored with the Bentley B. Mackay, Jr. Memorial Outstanding Solid Waste Professional Award for the State of Louisiana! His coworker wrote: "What makes us most proud isn't just the award itself, but how he earned it. He is the kind of leader who lifts others up, gives credit to his team, and works behind the scenes to create an environment where people feel valued and supported. He builds people, not just results. Yesterday, his hard work, integrity, and quiet leadership were seen - and we couldn't be prouder. His impact goes far beyond what most people realize, and the people you lead are better because of you. Congratulations Clay - you've earned every bit of this!!"

  • 🌎💚 Happy Earth Day! Today, we’re proud to celebrate Earth Day by taking action. Our Houston, Texas team came together for a community clean‑up, rolling up our sleeves to help keep our environment clean, safe, and sustainable. From collecting litter to restoring shared spaces, this was a meaningful reminder that small efforts, when done together, can make a big impact. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and energy to make a difference. Your commitment reflects our shared responsibility to care for the communities where we live and work. Let’s keep the momentum going! Not just today, but every day. 🌱
