Vanessa has a steady, positive presence that others naturally gravitate toward. She leads by example, jumps in where she’s needed, and helps set the tone for how the team shows up each day. Her leadership isn’t loud, it’s consistent, dependable, and rooted in care for others. Our Doral location has been running #2 in the company for Overall Satisfation from our guests over the last 30 days, with strong and consistent results. Today we’re giving a big shout‑out to Chris, our Produce Specialist with a focus on Floral, and someone who truly leads with heart. 💐 Chris shows up every day for her team and our guests in ways that really matter. She’s intentional about creating a strong team member experience, knowing that when team members feel supported and confident, amazing guest experiences naturally follow. A few examples of what makes Chris so special: 💚 During Prom season, she went above and beyond to help our team members attending prom feel confident, prepared, and proud, creating a moment they’ll always remember. 💚 She reached out to local schools and was met with an incredible response, welcoming so many into her store for beautiful floral moments. 💚 Guests even took the time to write in about the thoughtful experiences Chris created, whether it was helping an 8‑year‑old choose and repot the perfect plant, or making a 90th birthday extra meaningful with a handwritten card. 💚 She loves helping her teammates think about how to better serve guests and create moments that feel personal and genuine. In just six months, Chris has already made a huge impact in her store, reminding us that when team members feel supported, great guest experiences follow. 💐We’re so thankful to have her as part of TFM. 💚🌱

Those qualities, along with his adaptability and dependability, have helped Alec continue to grow with The Fresh Market over the past 5 years through several roles including Cashier, Bakery Team Member, Receiver, and now Meat Cutter. Beginning his journey in Spartanburg, SC, later transitioning to our Inverness store, and now continuing his story at our Birmingham location, Alec continues to make a positive impact on the experience of the people around him each day. Our MLK Service Challenge wrapped on February 28—and the impact our teams created was truly inspiring. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and the National Day of Service, we set out with a goal of 100 service hours. Thanks to the passion and generosity of our TFM team members, we exceeded it—reaching 126.25 hours of giving back. 42 volunteers. 16 service events. 14 community organizations supported. Across the stories shared by our teams, a common thread emerged: Service fuels connection. Whether supporting families and children, helping fight food insecurity, or teaming up to strengthen our communities, our people found purpose in making a difference. This is The Fresh Market in action—where our values of Passion, Excellence, Teamwork, and Hospitality come to life, and where the Team Member Experience extends far beyond the workplace.
