A fitting tribute to Madeleine Albright’s remarkable legacy. By bringing together mid-career professionals from around the world, the Albright International Leaders Program carries forward her commitment to dialogue, leadership, and international understanding. Congratulations to the Aspen Strategy Group on launching this important new program.
The Aspen Strategy Group is proud to launch the Albright International Leaders Program (AILP) in honor of former U.S. Secretary of State, longtime Trustee of The Aspen Institute, and member of the Aspen Strategy Group, Madeleine K. Albright. AILP will bring together mid-career international professionals based in the United States to learn from world leaders; senior government officials; members of Congress; journalists; and prominent thinkers and practitioners in academia, policy, and business. An international complement to the existing ASG Rising Leaders Program for U.S. citizens, AILP will select approximately 20 U.S.-based mid-career professionals from countries around the world supporting embassies, multilateral institutions, and international organizations for this year-long leadership program. Building wealth during an affordability crisis may sound out of reach for many families trying to make ends meet. But as The Aspen Institute Financial Security Program explored in its webinar, “How to Build Wealth During an Affordability Crisis,” financial stability and wealth building are not competing goals. They are mutually reinforcing. As Genevieve Melford, Managing Director of Aspen FSP, shared during the conversation, when cash flow is reliably positive, families can build savings. When they have savings, they can weather financial shocks and invest in assets. And when they own assets that appreciate, those assets can generate income or reduce costs in ways that strengthen long-term financial security. The conversation featured Markita Morris-Louis, Esq., CEO of Compass Working Capital; Hope Wollensack, Executive Director of Georgia Resilience & Opportunity Fund; Trevor Rozier-Byrd, Founder and CEO of Stackwell; Genevieve Melford, and Joanna Smith-Ramani, Co-Executive Director of Aspen FSP. Together, they explored how leaders can pair immediate financial stability with long-term wealth building, from externally funded savings opportunities and guaranteed income to seed capital, financial coaching, and tools that help people participate in ownership and investing with confidence. The Aspen Global Leadership Network is now on LinkedIn 🌱 For more than 25 years, AGLN has brought together leaders who share a conviction that leadership is not only about what you know, but about what you value, how you act in the face of challenge, and what you can contribute to a better world. Rooted in The Aspen Institute’s 75-year legacy, we've built a global community of more than 4,000 Fellows from 62 countries, interconnected through our 16+ Fellowship programs spanning diverse regions, sectors, and disciplines. What holds us together isn't a single ideology or industry. It's a shared commitment to leading with values, especially when the path forward is uncertain. This page is where we'll share what that looks like in practice: the questions our community is sitting with, the challenges we're navigating, and the perspectives that push our thinking forward. If you're asking yourself what leadership demands now, we hope you'll find something here. #ValuesBasedLeadership #Leadership #GlobalImpact
