Yesterday in Diemen, #TentNederland joined over 100 business leaders and partners at the Randstad Experience Center for #talentkentgeengrens, an event to explore how Dutch businesses can tap into the refugee talent already in the Netherlands – individuals who are ready to contribute. The afternoon was full of inspiration, with remarks from Marjolein ten Hoonte, Director of Social Impact at Randstad Nederland, and a keynote from Dr. Leendert de Bell on what it takes to make refugee hiring a reality. The event also marked a special milestone: the first anniversary of Tent Nederland. Director Hélène van Melle van Melle took the stage to reflect on what the coalition has achieved over the past year and how they can further scale refugee hiring and inclusion across the country. Leila Prnjavorac moderated two conversations – one featuring refugee talent and the other business leaders – offering different perspectives on what it takes to support successful workplace integration in the Netherlands. And finally, the event concluded with a musical performance by refugee theater group New Dutch Connections, featuring Bright Richards and Oleg Fateev – a fitting celebration of the talent and creativity refugees bring to the Netherlands! Thank you to Randstad, Tempo-Team, and the Goldschmeding Foundation for co-hosting, with our panelists Stanislava Kostromieieva, Jihan Sawah, Hossein Haririan, Colinda van de Ridder, Nathan Ririhena (Albert Heijn), Jill Koolwijk (Bilfinger België & Nederland), and Natasja Van Oostrom (KPN), and to everyone who joined us. 🤝💼

We were proud to partner once again with the Paris Chamber of Commerce - CCI Paris for a refugee job fair that keeps growing in impact – a busy day filled with connections, conversations, and opportunities right in the heart of the city! 🤝 #TentFrance 🇫🇷 brought together 20 companies, including Hyatt ; L'Oréal ; McDonald's ; UNIQLO and Schneider Electric. Alongside our NGO and institutional partners, we successfully connected around 700 refugee candidates with employers to learn about the dozens of different types of roles they were hiring for that were tailored to their diverse skills and career goals. Refugees are eager to rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities, yet many still face barriers to employment - from language gaps to limited professional networks. Merci to all the partners who helped make this a meaningful day of connection and opportunity for these highly motivated, resilient job seekers! #HireRefugees Interested in partnering with Tent France? "It’s important to take an intentional approach when hiring refugees – not just business as usual. Adapt your hiring practices: train your recruiting teams, participate in initiatives dedicated to refugee communities, and review your processes.” #ICYMI Tent France Director, Yasmine Leroux, was invited by our partner L'Association Française des Managers de la Diversité (AFMD) to join B SMART 4Change alongside Amélie Rambaud from #TentFrance member company SUEZ to discuss how companies can better support refugee inclusion in the workplace. 🤝 Refugees in France have the right to work, yet many still face barriers to employment – from limited networks to language gaps and more. At the same time, they represent a highly motivated, resilient talent pool ready to contribute to businesses that welcome them. Unlocking this talent requires intentional action from employers, but leads to a win-win-win for businesses, the economy, and society. Watch the full interview in French 👇 https://lnkd.in/eEkEnc3B

Last week, #TentSverige 🇸🇪 in collaboration with Connecting Jobs Sweden and Beredskapslyftet, brought 31 employers and nearly 400 refugee jobseekers together for a job fair at the beautiful Stiftelsen Nordiska museet in Stockholm. The event opened with a powerful reflection by Charbel Gabro on refugee grief, identity, and belonging – and the power employers have to change lives. The discussion continued with a dynamic panel moderated by TV host Tilde de Paula Eby, featuring Sweden’s Labour Market Minister Johan Britz alongside Ardalan Shekarabi, Labour Market policy spokesperson for Sveriges riksdag; Maria Hemmingsson, Director General Swedish Public Employment Agency; Mark Jensen, CEO of Ambea; Ranya Said, Head of Employment Programs/Connecting Jobs; and Karin Heri, Director of Tent Sverige. The discussion emphasized why a multistakeholder approach is crucial to connect the employers experiencing acute labor shortages with the refugees struggling to secure employment, across Sweden and at scale. Throughout the day, qualified refugee job-seekers met directly with employers from a range of sectors – including hospitality, retail, professional services – and interviewed onsite for open roles. Ett stort tack to all of the employers that joined us at #NuFixarViJobben2026 and for opening your doors to refugee talent. 🚀

Tent is proud to announce a new formal partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá reinforcing our shared commitment to advancing the socioeconomic integration of refugees and migrants in #Colombia. 🇨🇴 Through a Memorandum of Understanding signed today between Tent and Mayor Carlos Fernando Galan, we will work together with the Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá to create pathways towards economic inclusion and self-sufficiency for displaced populations in the capital. 🤝 For the hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan refugees and migrants seeking safety and opportunity in Bogotá – home to the largest migrant community in the country – a job is the most effective path to dignity and long-term economic stability. We’re excited to embark on this new strategic alliance with the Mayor’s Office and are committed to mobilizing our growing network of member companies nationwide to connect refugee and migrant talent with employment opportunities in the capital.

Yesterday, we gathered in Bogotá with leading NGOs specializing in refugee and migrant support to explore new ways to strengthen our collaboration. 🇨🇴 With our growing footprint in #Colombia and increasing interest from the business community to hire refugees and migrants, this was an important step towards being able to connect even more displaced talent with formal employment opportunities at Tent member companies. Muchísimas gracias to our partners for their expertise and dedication – and for reaffirming their commitment to working with Tent and removing the common barriers refugees and migrants face when trying to secure employment and stability in their new communities: Building Markets Latin America, Danish Refugee Council / Dansk Flygtningehjælp, Fundación Colombia Incluyente, Fundación Comparte, Fundación Santo Domingo, Pathways International, Plan País, Refugiados Unidos, and Servicio Jesuita a Refugiados Colombia. 🤝

Creating opportunities for peer learning and spaces where companies can exchange challenges, insights, and best practices is just one of the many ways #TentFrance supports its members in integrating refugees into the French labour market. 🤝 At our recent gathering in Paris, illustrator Anna Lentzner captured key insights shared by coalition members – alongside reflections on Tent’s latest best-practice resource – on what it takes to successfully welcome refugee employees. From building inclusive work environments to helping employees navigate administrative hurdles, implementing buddy systems, and offering language support – the illustration highlights what employers should keep top of mind when welcoming refugee talent. As we scale up our work in #Poland, we’re proud to continue to create spaces for employers and refugee talent to connect and match skills with opportunity ✨ Last week at the Sheraton Grand Krakow 🇵🇱 over 300 refugees and migrants and 13 employers joined us for a job fair, organized in collaboration with Marriott International. During the event, companies held on-the-spot conversations with candidates about their open roles and shared tips on how job seekers can advance their professional development. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with career counselors, take part in sessions on how to negotiate a job offer, boost employability – and receive guidance on recent legislative changes affecting Ukrainian citizens. They were also able to meet with NGOs that work closely with the refugee community to receive additional professional development support. Dziękujemy to AmRest, EWL Group, HEINEKEN Global Shared Services, ManpowerGroup Poland, and all the other companies and partners who helped make this event possible. If you want to find out more, reach out to polska@tent.org on how to get involved! 🚀

This weekend was International Women’s Day, a day to recognize the immense contributions women – including refugee women – make to our workplaces and communities, despite the barriers many still face. Krystyna's story reflects what can happen when resilience meets meaningful support. A creative professional in Ukraine for over a decade, Krystyna arrived in Paris determined to start again. Through our mentorship program, she connected with a mentor from a #TentFrance member company, DLA Piper, who championed her career journey and shared concrete guidance on topics like the local job market, CV writing, and interview tactics. Notably, Krystyna’s mentor also helped her to build a professional network in France – which led to an opportunity at another Tent France member company, Schneider Electric! As we mark #InternationalWomensDay, we’re reminded that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. We’re proud of the 100+ companies in Europe that have stepped up and mentored refugee women through Tent’s programs over the years – creating opportunities and mobilizing their employees to provide professional guidance and hands-on support as their mentees navigate barriers to employment and restart or grow in their careers. As we prepare to commemorate International Women's Day this Sunday, we’re proud to first recognize one of our own. This week, Tent’s Vice President of Global Communications & Marketing, Haiwen Lu Langworth, was celebrated at Ragan Communications and PR Daily Top Women in Communications Awards luncheon as a Class of 2026 honoree in the Social Impact Leaders category. As we honor the contributions and potential of women everywhere, we also recognize the strength and talent of refugee women who are rebuilding their lives in new communities. Today, and every day, we’re grateful for Haiwen’s leadership and her dedication to advancing Tent’s mission of refugee inclusion around the world. Congratulations, Haiwen! 🎉
