A silent killer of creativity. A disease that trades innovation for imitation. But something is shifting. Cracks are forming. And through those cracks… a new force is rising. Hot take: if you’re using somebody else’s playbook, you’re already behind. That same playbook ‘influencer x’ sent you after commenting ‘playbook’ on a LinkedIn post? Ya, even they’ve moved on to a new playbook by the time their VA finally sends to your inbox. Their real playbook? Getting you to engage with their post with this carrot. For too long, the Sameness Syndrome has held us back. We’ve all heard it: “Follow the playbook, hit the numbers, rinse and repeat.” Playbooks given by other leaders and shared in communities are meant to be helpful. And sometimes they do help a little.
