CEO Jim Bridenstine and Executive Chairman Kam Ghaffarian recently joined the #SpaceDemandSignal Forum at Baylor University for a fireside chat on the key inflection points in space operations. The event brought together Space Force leaders with the founders, investors, and technologists building the systems that will determine American superiority in orbit. Jim and Kam's conversation centered on where the space and orbital economy has been and where it is heading, offering insights on what the next generation of spacecraft must deliver in this new era of space. Dynamic operations, from maneuverability to multi-orbit capability, are now an operational requirement in a contested space domain. A great event and a valuable opportunity to discuss what comes next.

Delivering the Freedom to Maneuver in space—building a fleet of maneuver-first spacecraft to ensure space superiority
About us
Quantum Space is developing Ranger—a maneuver-first, mission-configurable spacecraft designed to support and meet the demands of modern space operations. With patented propulsion, extended on-orbit endurance, and modular flexibility, Ranger is being built to outmaneuver legacy satellites and operate dynamically across mission sets. From deploying interceptors to refueling allied assets, Ranger enables persistent presence, rapid repositioning, and longer mission life—across any orbit. The result is a dramatic increase in survivability, responsiveness, and ROI for both national security and commercial customers.

CEO Jim Bridenstine joined Maria Bartiromo on "Mornings with Maria" on Fox Business Network to talk about the growing contest in space and how Quantum Space is building for it. Jim’s message was direct: Space is becoming more contested every day, and America needs spacecraft that can maneuver, persist, and respond. That is exactly what the Ranger spacecraft is being engineered to do. Quantum Space is building a platform purpose-built for Dynamic Space Operations to deliver for America's national security. Congressional staff visited Quantum Space’s Rockville, MD facility getting a firsthand look at the capabilities shaping the next phase of space operations. Joined by CEO Jim Bridenstine and the Quantum Space leadership team, the group toured our engineering and development efforts behind Ranger, our maneuverable spacecraft platform designed for dynamic operations across orbits. The discussion focused on a clear shift underway: space is no longer just about access, but about sustained mobility, resilience, and mission flexibility. As national security priorities expand in space, direct exposure to these capabilities helps ensure alignment between policy and the technologies required to operate, compete, and maintain freedom of action across domains.

The strategic environment in space is changing rapidly. Mobility, endurance, and freedom to maneuver are becoming essential to mission success. Quantum Space is building the platfrom to support that future. CEO Jim Bridenstine explains why:
The Space Force's Objective Force plan now formally includes on-orbit refueling and space tugs by 2030. Gen. Saltzman said it plainly at Space Symposium last month: space mobility is no longer a concept under debate. It is a foundation for orbital warfare. Gen. Whiting was also direct in his keynote: "A satellite which is locked in a predictable orbit is fighting from a fixed position, and it's a target. It's a known position on a map waiting to be bypassed or neutralized." That is the threat environment Quantum Space was built to address. Our space domain awareness and mobility architecture is not speculative. It is the infrastructure that makes the Objective Force vision executable. The demand signal is real. The urgency is real. The question is not whether the U.S. will field on-orbit mobility. It is whether we will have the right commercial partnerships in place when that moment arrives. https://lnkd.in/gYsPpHwi

We had a great turnout in Tulsa, Oklahoma, announcing Quantum Space’s plans for a new manufacturing facility. Tulsa represents an important step forward as we scale the Ranger platform for national security and emerging on-orbit operations. The future of space operations will require mobility, endurance, and freedom to maneuver across a complex, multi-orbital domain. I believe Tulsa has the potential to become “Satellite City, USA,” helping power the next generation of American aerospace innovation. Big things are ahead. https://lnkd.in/epKXWpza
