Sierra Space was honored to welcome United States Department of War’s Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, and his delegation to our Colorado facility. The discussion centered on accelerating operational capability, strengthening the U.S. space industrial base, and delivering at the speed of the warfighter. Standing behind the visit was Dream Chaser “Tenacity,” a symbol of disciplined innovation and scalable American manufacturing. In today’s environment, speed is security and industrial strength is our nation’s strength. We are proud to support our great nation’s mission and pleased that the Secretary chose to visit us as part of the Arsenal of Freedom tour.

  • Dream Chaser hitched a ride with a Freightliner Cascadia truck down one of the world's largest runways at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Kennedy Space Center! Our spacecraft endured high-speed testing on the same landing strip where Space Shuttles once touched down. The team also successfully tested communications with Mission Control in Louisville, Colorado using NASA's satellite network. Testing wrapped up with a full post-landing recovery rehearsal - another crucial milestone completed on our journey to space! Watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eC6DQDTn

  • We have successfully completed thermal vacuum chamber (TVAC) testing on a prototype deployable radiator panel, marking a major milestone in spacecraft thermal control. The testing, conducted under CCSC-2 (Collaborations for Commercial Space Capabilities 2) confirmed radiator performance under extreme temperature cycling and validated key thermal design models. This milestone highlights our commitment to designing, building, and validating reliable systems that enable safe, sustainable operations in orbit. • We were thrilled to have Fatih and Eren Ozmen, our visionary Executive Chair and President, stop by our Victory Works facility in Colorado! During their visit they viewed the incredible progress on our 60,000 sq ft manufacturing expansion and explored our cutting-edge RPO (Rendezvous and Proximity Operations) Lab—where innovation truly comes to life. The lab’s advanced testing setup, including an air bearing table, allows us to simulate proximity operations for scaled satellite models under a variety of conditions. This controlled environment enables us to push boundaries, refine algorithms, and tackle challenges head-on, all while developing the next generation of space technology. #DefendingTodayDefiningTomorrow™
