When an osprey pair built a nest on top of an energized electrical pole on Petty’s Island, it called for a careful solution — one that protected both the birds and electric reliability for our customers. Working alongside the NJ Natural Lands Trust, USDA Wildlife Services, CITGO and the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, our crews carefully relocated the nest — along with three eggs — to a safer nearby platform designed specifically for osprey nesting. 🪺 Projects like this show what’s possible when utilities, conservation organizations and local partners work together. From protecting wildlife habitats to helping strengthen electric reliability, we’re proud to support both the communities and ecosystems that make New Jersey home. About us
“Public service” is not just in our name. It’s who we are. It’s what we do. We keep the lights on. We keep our customers’ phones charged and their homes warm. We’re the folks in the trucks during the storms, hard at work late at night. We power the lives of 2.4 million electric customers and 1.9 million gas customers in New Jersey, and over one million electric customers on Long Island. We are proud to be in neighborhoods, keeping customers safe and comfortable. A lot has changed since PSEG was founded in 1903, but our commitment to our customers, employees, shareholders and communities has stayed the same. For 120 years and counting we have rolled up our sleeves to deliver the affordable and reliable services customers need. And that isn’t changing. We are still adapting to meet the needs of today and tomorrow. PSEG invests in the communities where we live and work, advancing sustainability, equity and workforce training and development. We also have our eye on tomorrow and finding ways to fight climate change, including working toward our goal for net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. This #MemorialDay, we honor and remember the brave service members who gave their lives for our nation and freedom. 🇺🇸

Earlier this month, 70 of our employees, volunteers, supporters and leaders recently came together for the second annual MURPH Challenge hosted by our Veterans Employee Business Resource Group — a powerful tribute to U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy and all service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. The challenge includes two miles of running, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups and 300 squats — pushing themselves physically and mentally while supporting one another to honor the spirit of service and sacrifice behind Memorial Day. We’re grateful to our Veterans EBRG for organizing this meaningful event and are honored to work alongside so many people who continue to show what service, teamwork and community look like in action. 🇺🇸 #MemorialDay #PSEGProud #Veterans #MURPHChallenge

Superstorm Sandy changed the way utilities in New Jersey think about reliability and resilience. For us, it became a defining moment — and the start of one of the largest infrastructure hardening efforts in the country. Paul Toscarelli, our VP of Electric Operations, recently joined Energy Central's Power Perspectives podcast to share more about what it was like on the ground during and after the storm, the challenges crews faced in restoring service and the lessons that reshaped how we prepare for extreme weather and future energy demands. More than a decade later, that work continues to shape our system today. Paul reflects on the investments made since Sandy — from elevating substations to installing smart switching technology across the grid — and how those upgrades are helping strengthen reliability for the communities we serve, today and for the future. Our employees keep safety top of mind wherever they go. While on his way to a job, one of our WorryFree Service technicians came across a vehicle on fire. Relying on his training, he acted quickly, helping contain the fire before it could spread. It’s a reflection of the care and responsibility our teams bring to every situation to help keep our communities safe. Read more on Energize!: http://spr.ly/6040BB4VyE
