Last week in Texas, I posed a question, "Do you want to make something in a heartbeat or WITH a heartbeat?" Thank you to OAAA and Giant Spoon for letting me wax poetic on what makes creative work work. And thank you to fellow panelists Kelly Peppers and Grace Teng for putting up with me in front of a live audience.
What does it take to push creative boundaries in OOH? That's the question our Chief Creative Officer Ian Grody brought to the stage at OAAA's 2026 Media Conference this month. The conversation covered a lot of ground. Earlier creative involvement, more flexible use of inventory, and how agencies, brands, and media partners can work together to close the gap between concept and execution. The throughline? OOH has everything it needs to be a core creative canvas. The ecosystem just has to let it. As Ian put it, "In an era when you can make anything in a heartbeat, we want to make something WITH one." Big thanks to OAAA for bringing together the people having these conversations and for keeping the bar high on what the medium can be.
