  • There’s nothing like watching something you designed take flight. 🚁 That’s the kind of thrill our engineers live for. From first concepts to flight tests, we’re exploring bold ideas like Rotor Blown Wing technology to reimagine what rotorcraft can do. In this video, step inside the lab where the next generation of unpiloted aviation is taking shape. 🎥 Watch the full story on YouTube → https://bit.ly/4lYockA

  • Service doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off. As Global Month of Service ends and #MilitaryAppreciationMonth begins, our partnership with Rebuilding Together helps ensure veterans have safe, healthy homes — honoring those who’ve served by giving back in meaningful ways. Since launching this national partnership in 2022, our team members have supported more than 70 home rebuild and community center renovation projects in communities throughout the U.S.

  • Earn while you learn. We’re celebrating the impact of hands-on learning and the people powering our future. #NAWDay2025 #ApprenticeshipUSA

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Lockheed Martin

Our apprenticeships, and our apprentices, are second-to-none. 4,000+ strong across our organization, Lockheed Martin apprentices represent a talented mix of early-career professionals looking to build skills and learn from the best, and our own experienced colleagues taking ownership of their growth and rising to the challenge of what's next. (The latter is a particular and unique strength of the programs we offer.) And it's a true win-win scenario, because the sharper our apprentices get in fields like AI, cyber and advanced manufacturing, the more effectively we can deliver for our customers. So today, on #NationalApprenticeshipDay, I want to give a big kudos to the apprentices putting in the work, and the mentors, managers and teams helping them succeed. The value of your efforts reaches far beyond your work output, and our workforce is all the better for it. The latest story on our blog highlights the LM apprentice experience in more detail, and I'd encourage anyone interested to give it a read: https://lnkd.in/e9FS44sb

  • The U.S. Air Force has officially received its first TPY-4 radar, giving warfighters a powerful new tool to detect and track threats. With a fully digital architecture at every transmit/receive element, the TPY-4 delivers faster, more precise data to enhance situational awareness and provide earlier warning of potential threats. This next-gen radar strengthens homeland defense and supports critical national security missions, helping protect America’s skies like never before.

  • Our teams have made incredible progress leaning into GenAI with purpose and responsibility. From streamlining workflows, saving time and money and learning together along the way, GenAI is amplifying our team's expertise and skills. Here's a case study from one function ⬇️

  • On April 20, 2025, our flight ops team expertly guided NASA's Lucy spacecraft, designed, built and operated by us, past the asteroid Donaldjohanson. The flyby revealed an oblong shape with a narrow neck between two lobes—larger than expected at ~5 miles long and 2 miles wide at the widest point! This encounter served as a dress rehearsal for Lucy's Trojan asteroid encounters and is a crucial step in its mission to enhance our understanding of the solar system's past. Next in its historic 12-year mission, Lucy will visit Trojan asteroid Eurybates and its satellite Queta in August 2027!
