Hands-on skills are hard to teach, and good instruction is hard to scale. This may be due to the complexity of the skill, the need for precision, the lack of instructors, or the extent of human judgment and artistry required. Larabee closes the knowledge gaps, wisdom gaps, and information gaps that plague companies that rely on tasks and procedures to be conducted with accuracy.

Not knowing how to do something never feels good. That's why designing instructional experiences with a more empathetic stance towards the learner -- and understanding that the lens through which they see the same actions and skills that you do is different -- is so important.
The most perfect example of how simple instructions can be wildly misinterpreted or simply not understood. There's an awesome Marian Wright Edelman quote about leadership that goes "You can't be what you can't see." When it comes to instructions, I often borrow from her by saying "You can't do what you can't view." Written instructions, recipes, SOPs, and the like are full of terminologies and language that can be incredibly confusing for novices in particular. In order for learners to learn, they need clarity, demonstration, and repetition.
