Memorial Day is just around the corner, which means a three-day weekend and vacation plans. Fraudsters are preparing to take advantage of a time that often involves daydreaming about the long weekend while dealing with increased pressure to meet deadlines, get recorded, get the payments out, get packed, get ahead of the traffic, and get out of town. Do not fall victim to distracted closing. Fraudsters wait for the end-of-month holiday scenario because they know everyone is under pressure and that even the best-trained and most-qualified people are prone to make mistakes or cut corners when they are pressed for time.
