The National Black MBA Association will be the premier business organization serving Black Professionals.

About us

Who We Are Organized in 1983, the Houston Chapter currently has more than 300 financial members at all levels of business management, from a wide array of disciplines including Finance, IT, Marketing, Law, and Engineering. The Chapter maintains relationships with many of Houston’s community-based organizations and Fortune 1000 companies. We are committed to contributing to our members by continuing to provide opportunities that derive mutual benefits. The Chapter’s primary goals are to successfully operate our major programs and annual events during the year: Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) High School Mentoring Program Leadership Empowerment Scholarship Banquet and Silent Auction Houston Black Leadership Forum Monthly General Body Meetings (GBM) University Outreach programming for undergraduate and graduate business students. Additionally, many of our members participate in the Annual National Conference and Exposition. The National Black MBA Association has recognized the Houston Chapter nine times as a Chapter of the Year honoree. Our Vision The NBMBAA’s vision is to be an organization which leads in the creation of economic and intellectual wealth for Blacks. Our Mission As a professional membership organization of Black graduates with MBAs, advanced degrees, and entrepreneurs, we will increase the number as well as the diversity of successful Blacks in the business community by: Providing innovative programs to stimulate their intellectual and economic growth Building partnerships with key stakeholders who help facilitate this growth Increasing awareness and facilitating access to graduate management education programs and career opportunities in management fields.

    🤠 National Black MBA Association - Houston Chapter HR Committee | Community Outing Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo I will be hosting a casual community outing to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo on Black Heritage Day Friday, March 6 from 3:00–5:00 PM, and we’d love for members and friends of NBMBAA to join us! This guided experience will highlight the culture, history, and community impact behind one of Houston’s largest events.   • The Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Program is seeking experienced professionals to serve as Judges for our 24th Annual Local Business Case Competition, taking place on Saturday, February 28, 2026. This annual competition challenges our Leaders to analyze a real-world business case and present strategic, data-driven recommendations. Judges play a critical role in evaluating presentations, providing meaningful feedback, and helping shape the next generation of business leaders.
