  • Milestones like this are never about a building alone. They’re about the students who will learn there, the educators who will teach there, and the community that helped shape the vision from the beginning. We’re grateful to be part of the team helping bring the next chapter of Jefferson High School to life alongside Portland Public Schools, our project partners, including our joint venture with Colas Construction, and the many community members who have invested their time, energy, and voices in this effort. Thank you to everyone helping move this important project forward.

  • Last week, construction leaders from across the region came together for the 2026 Puget Sound Hard Hats with Heart Celebration, supporting the American Heart Association’s work to improve heart health and save lives. The evening reflected the impact that collective action can have. More than $717,000 was raised to support heart health education and research, and over the past year more than 4,300 craft professionals received Hands‑Only CPR training in Washington. In addition, over half of the participating companies have strengthened cardiac emergency preparedness on their jobsites by developing and implementing response plans. Hoffman participated as the presenting sponsor, supporting an effort that aligns closely with our commitment to safety for the people who build our industry every day. Preparing jobsites and workplaces to respond quickly and effectively to cardiac emergencies is a tangible way to help save lives. This year’s event was guided by strong leadership and dedication, including Marjorie Chang, Assoc. AIA, Hoffman’s Director of Business Development, who served as Event Chair. We appreciate the time, coordination, and commitment required to bring an effort of this scale together. Thank you and congratulations on a successful event. Thank you to the American Heart Association and the many partners who continue to advance heart health through education and preparedness. #HardHatsWithHeart #AmericanHeartAssociation #GetUsThereSafe

  • This evening, members of the Hoffman team are attending Creating Hope, a community event supporting the Providence Foundations and Providence Cancer Institute to provide compassionate care for some of the most vulnerable people in our region. Hoffman is honored to support this work as a silver sponsor. Community is one of our core values, and giving back has long been part of who we are. Supporting efforts that address complex challenges with empathy, dignity, and long‑term commitment matters deeply to us. We appreciate the opportunity to stand alongside organizations and individuals who are working to create hope where it’s needed most.

  • Yesterday was the last day for our De La Salle North Catholic High School intern, Joshua Hardiman, and we want to take a moment to say thank you. Joshua has been part of Hoffman through De La Salle’s Corporate Work Study Program since his sophomore year. Over that time, he has shown reliability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn, all while balancing school and work. Next month, he graduates. Programs like Corporate Work Study matter because they create early exposure to professional environments and help students build confidence, skills, and real‑world experience. We’re grateful to have been part of Joshua’s journey these past three years and appreciate partnerships that make opportunities like this possible. Wishing Joshua continued success as he heads into his next chapter!

  • Work is officially underway at the Homeless Solutions Coalition of Clackamas County Caring Place, with site and foundation activities now in progress. Built by our subsidiary Precision Construction Company, Caring Place will provide a permanent, purpose‑built home for services supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Early site work includes excavation, trenching, and installation of underground utilities, along with the first stages of concrete foundation preparation. These activities set the groundwork for the building systems and structure that will follow as construction continues through 2026. Caring Place is expected to open in spring 2027, creating a space designed to deliver stability, dignity, and long‑term support for the community it serves. We appreciate the opportunity to help bring this project from planning into construction and to support a facility with a clear and lasting community impact. • We’re less than two months away from the 15th annual Ladybug Run, and Hoffman is honored to support this event as a presenting sponsor. Founded to raise awareness of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), the Ladybug Run brings families, runners, and community members together for a meaningful cause in a welcoming, family‑friendly setting. Proceeds from the event help advance education, awareness, and support for those impacted by CDH. This unique 5K and 10K run takes place on July 11, 2026, at Cook Park in Tigard, offering a scenic, stroller‑friendly course along the Tualatin River. Finishers receive a race shirt, medal, and a race packet to celebrate their accomplishment. We value opportunities to support causes that bring people together and strengthen our community. • Hoffman is on site at the Hillsboro Airport for the Oregon Air Show Charitable Foundation Workforce Symposium and Career Expo today and tomorrow, with our subsidiary Precision Construction Company as a primary sponsor. Over the next two days, thousands of students will have the opportunity to explore hands‑on career pathways across aviation, construction, and skilled trades. Events like this create meaningful exposure to the tools, technology, and people behind the work – from cranes and prefabrication to drones, robotics, and emerging construction methods. We value opportunities to support workforce development efforts that give students a chance to see, ask questions, and engage directly with the careers that help build and maintain critical infrastructure. If you're in the area, please stop by. More info: https://oascf.org/
