I’m thrilled to announce that Tenor Therapy has been acquired by Grow Therapy, and that I will be joining Grow’s team to lead product development for the providers on the platform. I started Tenor to solve the problems I saw during my training to become a therapist. “Administrative burden” doesn’t capture late nights doing insurance paperwork while also reading research papers on the latest trauma protocols. “Emotional burnout” doesn’t encapsulate what it feels like to wonder if a suicidal client is going to come back the next week. “Isolation” isn’t strong enough to describe what it means to hold the intensity of another’s pain while sitting alone in a room, not knowing if you are making any difference at all. There's a lot of rhetoric around helping clients get access to affordable care. There isn't nearly enough conversation about helping clinicians get access to the support, training, and resources they need to actually provide it. Our commitment was to help the healer. Since we came out of beta in July, Tenor grew almost entirely by word of mouth, reaching 968 clinicians and 4,279 clients. We analyzed over 25,000 sessions and answered the 218,000 questions sent to our clinically-trained AI consultation chat. We’re proud to have made a difference in the lives of our customers and the incredibly important work they do. We’re now bringing our technology to the 26,000+ providers on Grow, one of the largest provider networks in the US. Since we became connected to Grow’s founders Jake Cooper, Alan Ni, and Manoj Kanagaraj, MD, we have been delighted to find mission-aligned thought partners who share our vision of how technology can be used to support the humans at the heart of the therapeutic process. More than that, we feel connected by shared values around kindness, integrity, and a desire for a better world. Tenor has since wound down in its current form, but we are excited to rebuild with our new partners so that we can reach even more people in need. Today, we’re proud to share Grow’s first peer-reviewed publication, an important step in contributing to the broader body of knowledge on online mental health care. This large real-world study examined outcomes for more than 200,000 adults who entered care through Grow from 2022 to 2024 and found that the majority of those measured experienced a clinically meaningful improvement in depression or anxiety symptoms. That matters because meaningful improvement is not just a statistic. Behind those numbers are people sleeping better, worrying less, and feeling more like themselves. We are privileged that so many people trust Grow with their care, and that trust comes with a responsibility to keep building the platform we'd want to care for our own loved ones. Something else stood out as well. Patients who used our tools to select a provider by specialty saw better clinical outcomes, and those who selected by identity characteristics were more likely to stay engaged. This is one of the first real-world demonstrations that giving people more choice in matching with the right therapist for them can shape how effective their care is. These findings reflect an earlier version of our platform, and we've invested heavily in the experience since. Last week, Tenor Therapy officially joined Grow Therapy. When we started Tenor, our goal was to build tools that truly support clinicians. That mission hasn’t changed. We’ve seen firsthand how the right technology can empower clinicians to do their best work and deliver deeply personalized care—and we’re excited to continue that work at Grow. We chose to partner with Grow because of their deep commitment to our shared mission. It’s rare to find an organization that lives its values so authentically, and we are incredibly excited to be a part of it. The kindness and passion we’ve seen in the community here in one short week has been inspiring. The Tenor Therapy team has officially joined Grow! Olivia Chen, Katie Witkop, Paul Salvatore, and team have built an incredible company to support providers, and we feel fortunate to have found each other. Beyond their technological ability, what stood out as we got to know each other was their mission alignment. Tenor was founded after Olivia left tech to pursue her dream of becoming a therapist. In her practice, she was frustrated by the tools at hand, and started Tenor to design a better system using the latest AI technologies, one that cut back on tedious work and offered real insights and support. In joining forces, we are putting our resources behind scaling their vision to 26,000 active Grow clinicians. Together, we’re pushing on two priorities: -First, make our service more personalized. From matching, to care, to between-session support, we have the opportunity to better serve clients based on their unique circumstances -Second, make care more sustainable for providers. Move documentation from after-hours catch-up work and into the flow of care. And build on that foundation with a co-pilot that surfaces practical takeaways, grounded in each provider's style and each client’s needs We’re thrilled to run at this opportunity together, and for what’s to come!

We’re still pinching ourselves. Today, Nasdaq lit up Times Square to celebrate Grow Therapy’s $150M Series D at a $3B valuation. This milestone isn’t just about funding, it’s about expanding access to high-quality mental healthcare across the country. More providers supported. More people empowered. More care delivered when it’s needed most. Grateful for our team, our providers, our partners, and every person who trusts us with their care.
