Today, Latinos undeniably represent one of the most influential electorate groups in the U.S. Yet despite their voting power, communication and campaign targeting to Latinos has been lacking, late or limiting. ‘Twas the night before Christmas, and throughout the station, Broadcasting the hits to the whole Spanish nation; The ads were all placed on the airwaves with care, In the hope that the Entravision team would soon be there. The viewers were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Shoboy danced in their heads; With Erazno y La Chokolata on every device, The media reach was remarkably nice. When out in the studio arose such a clatter, I checked the transmitter to see what was the matter. Away to the monitor I flew like a flash, To check on the ratings and digital dash. The glow of the screens on the high-tech display, Gave the luster of midday to data and play, When what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a mobile production van, drawing quite near. With a lively director, so sharp and so quick, I knew in a moment it wasn't St. Nick; More rapid than eagles his talents they came, And he whistled and shouted, and called them by name: "Now, Univision! UniMás! Fox and NBC! On, Noticias! On, Social Media for all to see! On, El Show de Piolín! On, Coyotec! On all! Now broadcast away! Broadcast away! Broadcast away all!" As data that before the wild algorithm fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the satellite the signal they flew, With Entravision+ and digital content for you. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof, The clicking of cables, the ultimate proof. And right on the feed, in a viral new light, Our Social Media Creators joined in the flight! With trending reels spinning and stories so bold, The Latino experience was brilliantly told. As I drew in my head and was turning around, Down the chimney a tech lead came with a bound. He was dressed in a suit, from his head to his foot, Bringing AudioEngage, the top audio streaming platform to boot; A bundle of headsets he had flung on his back, Like a digital peddler just opening his pack. His eyes—how they twinkled! His metrics how merry! His target-ads blooming like a bright winter cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, Ready to host the most popular show. The stump of a stylus he held in his teeth, And the Wi-Fi encircled his head like a wreath; He had a sharp face and a focus on growth, Promoting the Latino culture and community both. He was savvy and bright, a media elf, And I cheered when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a nod toward the mic, Soon gave me to know what the audience would like. He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, Filled the playlists with hits; then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a signal, up the chimney he rose; He sprang to his van, to his crew gave a whistle, And away the stream flew like the down of a thistle.
