Afgelopen maand vonden de Proef‑Scalda‑dagen plaats: dagen waarop studenten verschillende opleidingen konden uitproberen. Omdat het talent dat van Scalda komt voor ons van grote waarde is, was #TeamDow natuurlijk aanwezig. Samen met onze stagiaires begeleidden we praktijkgerichte opdrachten. Terwijl onze 2e‑jaars studenten op stage zijn, verzorgden de 1e-jaars Junior Praktijk Programma (JPP)‑studenten een workshop waarin werd gesleuteld aan een flens, uiteraard met volledige aandacht voor veiligheid. 🛠️🔩 Een flens is een veilige, demontabele verbinding die wordt gebruikt om bijvoorbeeld leidingen, kleppen en machines met elkaar te verbinden. In een fabriek zoals de onze is dit dagelijkse praktijk voor operators, maar voor de Proef‑Scalda‑studenten vaak een eerste kennismaking met techniek in de praktijk. Mooi om kennis te delen én samen te bouwen aan de toekomst van technisch talent. Addressing global challenges starts at the community level. About 4 in 10 women miss school or work during their menstrual cycles, and only 16% have accurate knowledge about menstruation and proper hygiene practices. The Eztli Project is working to fix that. The Eztli Project is a collaborative, humanitarian project combining the efforts of Dow, Hulsiopens, Smurfit-Westrockopens, Mexfamopens, and Fondo Unido México. This cross-sector teamwork showcases how through strong partnerships, and the expert applications of materials science, we can advance the dignity, well-being, and longterm sustainability for thousands of people. Over 80,000 reusable menstrual cups were created using #TeamDow's provided the SILASTIC™ Silicone Rubber. We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate in this program, which has made menstrual health more accessible and sustainable for underserved communities across Mexico. What if the natural substance that binds wood fibers could also serve as a flow agent for construction products?    We are collaborating with Metsä Group and ANDRITZ to develop bio‑based plasticizers using oxidized lignin from their new demo plant, helping replace fossil‑based materials in concrete and gypsum applications.   Congratulations to Metsä Group and ANDRITZ on starting your new facility. We are excited to keep shaping the future of sustainable, high-performance construction together.

Black History Month recognizes the contributions and leadership that have driven progress, strengthened organizations and created lasting impact over time. This legacy is reflected in our Global African Affinity Network (GAAN), now in its 27th year. Founded in 1999 by a small group of employees focused on professional development, connection and representation, GAAN has grown into a global network of more than 5,000 participants across 20 chapters. Today, GAAN plays an important role in supporting talent development, strengthening leadership capability, fostering innovation and contributing to business outcomes across the company. Through sustained leadership and advocacy, the network helps advance Dow’s performance and success. During Black History Month, we recognize GAAN’s founders, leaders, allies and participants whose commitment has shaped the network’s evolution and impact. Their efforts underscore a core principle often reflected throughout African American history: progress is achieved through disciplined leadership, purposeful action and a long term view of opportunity and growth.

We believe business growth and social impact are interconnected. Through programs like our Business Impact Fund, we bring together customers, nonprofits and colleagues to help solve social or sustainability challenges within Dow communities around the world. The shared value created by this program has led to new innovative products and solutions, expansion into new markets, helped address pressing community needs, and reduced waste in our environment. In 2025, six new projects were launched across our global footprint that have the potential to generate significant social impact and deliver tangible business impact for Dow and our customers.

Happy International Women and Girls in Science Day! The number of young women pursuing STEM careers is rising; however, they still face unique challenges and systemic barriers that can make completing their education more difficult. We are proud to support #WomeninSTEM and the programs and initiatives that help eliminate the obstacles they face while pursuing an education, so they can focus on learning and reaching their full potential. Let’s continue to empower the next generation of women scientists and innovators!

Van visie naar impact: meer diversiteit in #STEM Op International Women and Girls in Science Day staan we wereldwijd stil bij het belang van gelijke kansen in wetenschap en technologie. Bij Dow geloven we dat echte impact ontstaat waar talent, diversiteit en innovatie samenkomen. Today, we reported earnings results for the fourth quarter of 2025. During a year marked by persistent macroeconomic and industry challenges, #TeamDow remained focused on delivering near-term cost savings and cash support actions – efforts that are gaining traction and are reflected in our results. At the same time, we announced Transform to Outperform – an enterprise-wide transformation to deliver a step change in both growth and productivity. We will simplify how we work and modernize how we serve our customers to drive success. We also shared an updated timeline for our cost-advantaged Path2Zero project, which is now expected to start up by year-end 2029.
