Here at the DQ® system, we believe that HAPPY TASTES GOOD®. Our first location opened in Joliet, Illinois, 80 years ago. Since then we’ve grown to more than 7,000 DQ® locations in the U.S., Canada and 22 other countries. Our restaurants offer a variety of sweet treats and crave-worthy eats that hold a special place in the hearts and minds of fans of all ages, including our signature BLIZZARD® Treat. Guided by our vision to become the world’s favorite quick-service restaurant, we’re proud of the multinational company culture we’ve built while maintaining a small community feel. Through our corporate giving initiative, DQ Cares, we provide employees time paid time off to volunteer in their communities.   • Corporate team members traded laptops for hard hats earlier this month as part of our very first build day with Habitat for Humanity—our newest DQ Cares partner. Together, the team spent the day helping build a future home for a local family alongside the incredible crew from Habitat for Humanity. For many of our volunteers, it was a first-time experience on a build site. One of the best parts of the day was seeing how quickly everyone jumped in, learned new skills, and worked together to make a real impact in the community. We’re excited to continue building on this new partnership with Habitat for Humanity in the months ahead. Huge thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and energy to make the day such a success.

  • One of the most fun parts of our new partnership with the Savannah Bananas? You never know when they might show up at a DQ® restaurant! As part of our new partnership, the Bananas are making surprise stops at DQ locations across the country while traveling between games—bringing their signature energy, fun and a few flips along the way. Recently, members of the team stopped by a DQ restaurant to meet fans, enjoy a few treats and help us celebrate a partnership built around creating memorable moments for fans all summer long. We’re excited to team up with an organization that shares our love for fun, community and unforgettable fan experiences. And yes…there’s a pretty good chance this won’t be the last surprise stop. 👀

  • Let's meet another DQ® Red Spoon Award winner! As a reminder, these are DQ employees who provide outstanding service, deliver quality products, and create positive memories for all who touch DQ. Today we'd like to recognize Tess K., Research and Development Project Coordinator, Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory.

  • What happens when a room full of people rally around one mission? You get a night like the Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities Gala. Our team members were proud to attend and see firsthand the power of mentorship in action. By the end of the evening, the community had raised $537,854 to support local youth through life-changing mentorship programs. That’s the kind of impact that goes far beyond one night. And it’s why we’re proud to support organizations helping young people reach their full potential.

  • The Dairy Queen team recently attended Elevate, an annual gathering of Children’s Miracle Network partners, hospitals and Champion Children from across North America. Connecting with these incredible kids and families, and hearing their stories firsthand, was a powerful reminder that the support raised in our restaurants is changing lives in the communities we serve. We’re proud to support Children’s Miracle Network the past 42 years and grateful to be part of a community dedicated to bringing care and hope to children and families.
