May is National Military Appreciation Month, and we’re proud to recognize and thank those who have served and continue to serve our country. Today, we’re spotlighting two team members whose military experiences continue to shape the way they lead and contribute at Chipotle. ✈️ Anthony Zuliani, CPA (Zee), Manager, Internal Audit, served five years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. Inspired by family members who also served, Zee joined the military while searching for purpose and direction after high school. Today, Zee says military service continues to create meaningful connections across teams at Chipotle and working for a brand he has loved for years feels like a full-circle moment. ⚓ Dave Baker, Manager, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, served as a cook on a Navy submarine. He joined the service to help pay for college and for the opportunity to see the world. During his time in the Navy, David learned how to balance multiple responsibilities, lead under pressure and understand the direct impact food can have on people each day. Those lessons continue to guide his work with suppliers and his team at Chipotle. For David, working at Chipotle means being part of a company that shares his passion for food safety and holds itself to the same high standards expected of its partners. 👏 Thank you, Zee and David, for your service, leadership and continued impact at Chipotle.

Chipotle Mexican Grill reposted this
Before you “i ain’t reading all that, i’m happy for u tho, or sorry that happened” the following lengthy text, don’t, because it’s an easily-digestible-good-for-your-attention-span-feel-good post about Open Water’s charitable partnership with Chipotle Mexican Grill, which directs 1% of net revenue from Open Water’s sales to Chipotle to a nonprofit partner whose work advances both Chipotle’s regenerative agriculture mission AND Open Water’s ocean conservation mission. Grab your favorite burrito (or bowl) and a can of Open Water and buckle up, or tuck in, or get ready, or whatever, because we’ve got a load of info to share with you (2x scoops worth, at least). Our nonprofit partner is American Farmland Trust! We’ve selected this organization the last two years, and the funding has gone to support AFT's Texas programs for a healthy Gulf Coast. JIC you’re curious about the actual numbers: 💵 In 2024 AFT received $16,555.25 💵 In 2025 AFT received $33,093.22 🥑 That’s a lot of guac! We’re guessing you’re sitting there wondering how regenerative agriculture is connected to ocean conservation. What does supporting farmer resilience have to do with a healthy Gulf Coast? Let’s unwrap this one bullet point at a time: 🌊 Ocean conservation starts upstream. What happens on farmland directly impacts rivers, estuaries, and ultimately the ocean. 💧 Cleaner waterways = healthier oceans. Regenerative practices reduce runoff, preventing pollution and excess nutrients from reaching the ocean. 🧑🌾 Soil is a filter. Healthy soils absorb and clean water before it flows downstream—improving water quality from farm to ocean. “Thanks for the lesson, Teach” the little voice inside your head is saying right about now. “But what specifically has the funding supported to date?” Homestretch: • AFT is protecting farmland + advancing regenerative practices that filter water and prevent pollution, so cleaner water flows into the Gulf. • AFT is building resilient ranches through the Texas Grazing Network [https://lnkd.in/eAFbBEHg] which replenishes ~96 million gallons of water annually. • Open Water & Chipotle’s funding also allowed AFT to host a series of learning circles with women ranchers where they gather to hear from each other and agricultural professionals from their local communities regarding practices and programs that support soil health, water quality, climate resilience, farm viability, and legacy planning for the land under their care. • AFT is restoring coastal habitats by supporting on-the-ground restoration efforts in Nueces County, working with farmers to implement conservation practices that directly improve the Gulf's health. And THAT is the Open Water x American Farmland Trust (x Chipotle) partnership put as succinctly as possible without running it through A.I.

After a certain New York superfan shared his love for Chipotle on Instagram, we had to return the favor. So we popped up courtside to surprise him with one of the most exclusive honors at Chipotle: a customized Celebrity Card. And yes, the card was delivered inside a burrito bowl. 🌯🏀 Celebrity Cards aren’t handed out through sponsorship deals or paid partnerships. They’re reserved for real superfans who make Chipotle part of their routine, from athletes fueling up before big games to artists ordering their go-to meal after a show. To everyone who keeps coming back for their go-to order, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Throughout May, our Newport Beach Restaurant Support Center has displayed a POW/MIA Remembrance Table, serving as a powerful symbol of reflection, gratitude and hope for those who never returned home. Each element of the table represents the sacrifice endured by service members and the families who continue to carry their memory forward. This month also marked the launch of Chipotle Veterans & Allies Network (CVAN), a new Employee Resource Group dedicated to fostering community and supporting the unique needs of veterans, active service members and military families across our organization. CVAN was created to promote connection, personal and professional growth and meaningful support for those who have served. At Chipotle, we are proud to support veterans and military families through partnerships with organizations like Transition Overwatch, Military Spouse Employment Partnership--MSEP, RecruitMilitary and Folds of Honor. This Memorial Day, we pause to remember, reflect and honor the sacrifices made by those who served our country with courage and selflessness.

Two semesters. Two #1 leaderboard spots. One shared love for Chipotle. ❤ At UC Irvine, two Chipotle Rewards members recently met in line while ordering their favorite meals and realized they had something unique in common: both had held the #1 spot on the Chipotle U Rewards leaderboard in different semesters. On the right is Jacob Miller, the current spring semester #1 leaderboard holder. On the left is Alexander Li, the winter semester #1 leaderboard holder. Naturally, the moment called for an iconic photo. Stories like this are what make the Chipotle community so special. From campus traditions to everyday burrito runs, we love seeing fans connect through their shared passion for real food and real experiences.
