Back for our second year at the MedTech Innovator #InnovatorSummit, we're excited to support another outstanding cohort of medtech innovators. We met companies across the wearable, surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic spectrum. A few that caught our attention: Cerevia Neurosciences, Theta Neurotech, BioSens8, OrthoSens, Galenband, VIS, Inc., Panda Surgical, Magnetic Tides, Urologic Health, BeCapio, and Dermagnostix. Thank you to the founders who joined our Partner Dinner: Manios Dimitrakakis (Panda Surgical), Kevin Spencer (Ring Rescue Inc.), Truman Pierson (Theta Neurotech), Gwenael Hannema (OrthoSens), and Ludwig Gutzweiler (Dermagnostix). Great conversations and even better company. It's always great to see MTI alumni continue to grow and contribute to the community, including companies we're proud to support today: armor, SynchNeuro, Inc., and Sana Health. Congratulations to the teams at MedTech Innovator, MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific, and BioTools Innovator for another exceptional event. Special thanks to Paul Grand, Nicole Black, PhD, Brian Benson, Kathryn Zavala, Gabby Dardano, and Samantha Black, PhD for their leadership in bringing the community together. Looking forward to following this year's cohort. #MedTechInnovator #MedTech #HealthcareInnovation #MedicalDevices #DigitalHealth

Quantum, AgTech, space, robotics. Deep Tech Week Seattle is a room full of breakthroughs that still have to survive contact with manufacturing. That gap is where Andrews Cooper lives. Nathan Losch is on the ground all week (June 8–12). If you're a founder or program lead trying to get a hard-to-build system out of the lab and into production, grab 30 minutes with him. #DeepTechWeek #Hardtech #Engineering

Congratulations to the Amazon Vulcan team on being recognized as Robot of the Year by The Robot Report. Some of the most interesting advancements in robotics we're seeing are these kinds of systems that work alongside people. They take on physically demanding tasks while reserving judgement for people, where they add the most value. As robotics continues to mature across logistics, manufacturing, and industrial environments, it's exciting to see solutions that focus on practical outcomes and real operational impact.
Amazon’s Vulcan wins Robot of the Year from The Robot Report RBR50: one of the robotics industry’s most prestigious innovation awards. The Vulcan system picks and stows products in the same bins employees use today. But rather than replacing workers outright, Vulcan focuses on the ergonomically difficult work: reaching high and low bins. Employees continue handling the center zones where humans are still faster and more efficient. This is a practical example of collaborative robotics in the real world:Robots doing the difficult physical work while people handle the fast work. Aaron Parness, Director of Applied Science at Amazon, and Bhavana Chandrashekhar, Sr. Manager, accepted the award last night. Aaron noted that roughly 150 people contributed to the Vulcan effort. Aaron highlighted three core technologies behind the system: ♦ Force feedback: allowing the robot to “feel” its way around bins ♦ Advanced vision and video streaming systems: the robots see far more than past systems ♦ Innovative hardware/end effectors Bhavana added a fourth critical element: ♦ State-of-the-art software that ties the entire system together Amazon has 100 Vulcan systems in production with many many more planned for deployment. Congratulations Amazon Team Vulcan! #robotics #amazon
