Beasts Class is the twenty-first main quest within Hogwarts Legacy; where you attend your first Beasts class, taught by Professor Howin, and learn to care for the various Beasts in the game. This page is part of IGN's full Walkthrough for Hogwarts Legacy.

Attending Beasts Class

Head to the Beasts Classroom in The Bell Tower Wing of Hogwarts to begin Beasts class. Here you meet Professor Howin and Poppy Sweeting of Hufflepuff (assuming you’re from another house and haven’t met her already).

After a brief cutscene, you acquire the Beast Petting Brush which you can use to care for various Beasts. Follow the on-screen prompts to assign the Brush to a Spell Slot. Equip and then use it on the Puffskein in front of you to brush it.

You must then repeat this process with Beast Feed. Assign it to a Spell Slot, equip and use it, and you’ll feed the Puffskein. After successfully doing so, Poppy will guide you to the Kneazle pen nearby. Once back in control, brush and then feed any of the Kneazles in the pen using their assignments you gave them in your Spell Slots.

Meeting Poppy’s Friend

With the class concluding, go and speak to Professor Howin, who will assign you additional assignments over time. As Howin departs, speak to Poppy as she calls you over. She will thank you for defending her and the beasts from the bullies, and will ask you follow her to meet someone in the forest.

After following her for a short while, she will call down the Hippogriff, Highwing. Follow the on-screen prompts to bow twice, and you’ll then need to brush and feed her. For future reference, you’ll know what any beast needs by the two diamonds beneath their name at the top of the screen. The left diamond is brushing, and the right is food. If both are green, the beast is content!

After Highwing leaves, Poppy explains she saved Highwing from poachers years back, and the fact that poachers are becoming more and more common in the area, and that they seem to be planning something. As Poppy vows to get to the bottom of it with your help, the quest concludes.
