JBL has introduced JBL Cove, a new whole-home Wi-Fi audio system. The lineup includes three wireless speakers: the JBL Cove M1, Cove P1 and Cove X1. The speakers are designed for use across multiple rooms and can be controlled through the JBL One app.
JBL Cove M1, P1 and X1
The JBL Cove lineup includes three Wi-Fi speakers:
- JBL Cove M1: Compact speaker for everyday listening.
- JBL Cove P1: Portable speaker with a battery and Dolby Atmos support.
- JBL Cove X1: Speaker with four tweeters, dual woofers and Dolby Atmos support.
Each speaker can be used individually, as a stereo pair, or as part of a larger multi-room audio system. The speakers use a two-way design and support Constant Sound Field, automatic self-tuning and AI Sound Boost. Automatic self-tuning optimizes the speakers based on their placement, Constant Sound Field provides balanced sound throughout the room, and AI Sound Boost minimizes distortion at higher volume levels.
Multi-room audio and connectivity
JBL Cove speakers connect through the home Wi-Fi network and are managed through the JBL One app, which supports room grouping, audio customization and in-app music services.
Users can group speakers to play the same music across multiple rooms or stream different music in individual rooms. Wi-Fi connectivity also allows playback to continue when the source phone leaves the room or receives a call.
The system has a three-step setup and does not require an account during setup. The Moment button provides phone-free controls and supports Spotify Tap for one-tap access to Spotify.

The speakers support high-resolution, lossless audio. Alexa Built-In provides voice control, including smart home control, while users can also access Alexa+, Amazon’s AI assistant.
JBL Bar Series compatibility
JBL Cove is compatible with JBL Bar Series MK2 soundbars, including the JBL Bar 300, Bar 500, Bar 700, Bar 1000 and Bar 1300X MK2. Through the JBL One app, the Cove P1 and Cove M1 can be added to compatible soundbars as rear channels for a Dolby Atmos home theater setup.
The speakers also support Music Follows Me, which allows a playlist or TV audio to move between compatible devices. Users can press and hold the Moment button to move the audio without using a phone or the app.
