Save the date! 📅 We are supporting the #ReedisGreen initiative and promoting Earth Raise 2026, (formerly the Green Match Fund). This is the UK’s biggest environmental campaign run by our sister charity, Big Give. From 22nd to 29th April, launching on World Earth Day, donations made to environmental charities via Big Give will be DOUBLED while match funds last. As a philanthropy company, or PhilCo for short, Reed has a long history of positive environmental action. Since the campaign began, the Reed Foundation - which owns 18% of Reed - has donated nearly £3m to support environmental charities via Big Give. “Caring for our planet” is also one of Reed’s sustainability pillars and we have planted thousands of trees, committed to become climate positive by 2050, and are growing the UK’s green workforce. #EarthRaise #ReedisGreen #BigGive

What happens when an entrepreneur loses everything… and decides to start again? It’s not every day you meet someone whose career has spanned pub cellars, white vans, global drinks brands and even a hotel. This week on ‘All About Business’ I interviewed Steve Perez, founder and chairman of Global Brands Limited. If you’ve ever ordered a brightly coloured VK on a night out, enjoyed a Franklin & Sons tonic, or helped Hooch make a comeback, you will have bought Steve’s products without even realising it. His rise didn’t just come from luck: It came from backing his instincts, understanding his customers much better than anyone else and making tough decisions long before success. In this episode, we talk about staying relevant when trends shift overnight, why execution often beats ideas, and how leadership evolves as a business scales up. How do you keep building when the odds, and sometimes the industry, are stacked against you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments… #AllAboutBusiness #LoveMondays #LifeAtReed #BusinessPodcast #Since1960 #PhilCo #StevePerez #Entrepreneurship #GlobalBrands #VK #FranklinAndSons

Youth unemployment in the UK has climbed to 16.1%, at the same time that artificial intelligence is reshaping many of the tasks traditionally associated with entry‑level jobs. However, overlooking early talent means missing out on fresh perspectives, digital fluency, and the opportunity to shape tomorrow’s leaders. In this article, we explore how AI is transforming early-career pathways, why organisations must redesign entry routes, and the strategies employers can use to attract, support, and develop the next generation of talent. 🔗https://bit.ly/4sDr9K4

The scientific sector is evolving with funding challenges, tech advances and shifting roles, whilst demand grows for computational biology and precision medicine.  Flexi-time suits those who work in labs while remote work fits non-lab roles. Automation reduces manual tasks but boosts demand for tech specialists. Temporary roles are on the rise, and benefits like healthcare and share options attract professionals. Adam Buckland, Regional Director at Reed, breaks down everything you need to know about the sector in 2026. 🔗Read the full blog: https://bit.ly/49A8jeB

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, ‘Give To Gain’, really came to life across Reed. The theme reminded us that meaningful change doesn’t come from grand gestures alone, but from the everyday actions that help others feel supported and seen. In this article, we provide a snapshot of how the day was marked, including information on our partnership with Young Women’s Trust, a feminist charity advocating for young women aged 18–30, who are on low or no pay. From offering free one-to-one coaching and expert CV and job-application feedback to building a supportive, thousands-strong community, their mission is to build a fairer future where young women not only access opportunities, but also shape them. We encouraged everyone at Reed to offer five-to-10 minutes of support, whether through advice, reassurance, or practical guidance. What is the one thing that might cost you the job in an interview? In this week's episode of 'All About Business Shorts', I’m joined by Will Moore, Senior Area Manager at Reed. Will knows the art of interviewing inside out and has spent more than a decade helping candidates navigate one of the most pivotal moments in their career journey; the final stage job interview. What struck me most in our conversation is just how much the landscape is changing. The information candidates now have at their fingertips is extraordinary... yet knowing how to use it, and when to stop digging, is a skill in itself. In this episode, we talk about what really matters in those crucial preparation stages, why some people stumble on seemingly simple questions, and how candidates can structure answers clearly and confidently. This conversation is the kind that leaves you rethinking habits you might have had for years. Do you think interviews reward genuine talent, or simply the people who’ve mastered the art of preparation?
