This month, Katy Vincent is taking the spotlight! Why is that? Because she's been nominated as one of our Most Values Players. As Head of Data and Curriculum, Katy has a rare combination of qualities that makes teams and learners around her genuinely better. She spots the gaps before anyone else does, and quietly fills them without a fuss. This, and her development of excellent educational content is consistently improving our learner experience, and our business as a whole. And she gives her own time freely to coach colleagues, build confidence, and make sure nobody gets left behind. That last one says everything. It's a privilege to have her leading the way by bringing thoughtfulness, attention to detail and expertise every single day. 🌟 Give her a follow as she's now sharing more on her data journey on LinkedIn!

We're thrilled to announce that Data Literacy Academy has partnered with Jordan Morrow, widely known as the "Godfather of Data Literacy". While there's a lot more collaboration in the works, we're kicking off with a webinar that covers the foundations for every CDAO and CIO. We all know that right now, organisations are pouring millions into AI tools, platforms, and infrastructure. But the workforce using those tools, including senior leaders making decisions with AI outputs, often doesn't have the foundational literacy to use them well, govern them responsibly, or extract value to their fullest potential. That gap is expensive. On 12th March at 4PM UK / 12PM EST, Jordan and Greg Freeman are hosting a live session: "Data & AI Literacy: The Missing Layer in Enterprise AI" It's created specifically for CDAOs, CIOs, and the broader C-Suite. We'll cover: → Why literacy risk is now boardroom-level risk → The hidden cost of AI adoption without capability → What genuinely AI-ready organisations look like → How to build a practical starting point, even from zero 👉 Register here: https://lnkd.in/e3gKdJHD Delighted to be partnering with Jordan on this. He's spent years pioneering this field and there's no one better to have this conversation with. Tag a CDAO, CIO, or data leader who needs to watch this. 👇 #DataLiteracy #AILiteracy #CDO #CIO #EnterpriseAI #AITransformation

💚 Loved seeing Tiankai Feng featured on the AWS for Data series hosted by Lydia Ray and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Tiankai's message aligns perfectly with ours, that's why he also ended up as a contributor to The Data & AI Literacy Bible! His ethos is all about taking a human-centric approach to data & AI success. He shares that after 12 years in data he noticed: "Most of the issues in Data & AI come from human factors. A lack of collaboration, competence, isolated knowledge, expertise not being evenly distributed all lead to bad decisions." Couldn't agree more! 👉 Check out the full video here: https://lnkd.in/e_8s6W2v

Obviously we've got a fantastic team. But that team is supported by some pretty fantastic pets behind the scenes. 🐱🐶 Today is National Love Your Pet Day, so we're giving them the spotlight they deserve! As a remote working team, our #pet-love Slack channel is always buzzing with updates of what our furry friends are getting up to. Goofy, naughty, calming or energising: they're a key part of keeping our spirits high 💚

‼️ The AI value is there. You're just not measuring it. This LSE report should be on every CDAO and CIO's radar. 🫨 It shows that on average, employees using AI are saving 7.5 hours per week, the equivalent of a full working day. That's roughly £14,000 per employee per year in productivity gains. And yet, we're also seeing lots of messaging saying "AI isn't delivering value." We think that in most cases, it is. It's just not being measured. This is one of the most pressing, and underappreciated, responsibilities sitting on a CDAO's desk right now. Before you can prove ROI on AI, you need a baseline. You need to know what "before" looked like: how long tasks took, where bottlenecks lived, what your people were actually spending their time on. Without that foundation, AI impact is based on gut feel. The LSE research makes the measurement gap even starker. ‼️ Employees with AI training save 11 hours per week. Those without? Just 5! That's a 2x productivity difference that would be completely invisible in organisations not tracking the right signals. So if you're not capturing that delta, leadership will draw their own conclusions. And those will almost certainly undervalue what's actually happening. The "AI isn't working" narrative often isn't a story about AI. It's a story about data maturity. Organisations that can't baseline can't benchmark. Organisations that can't benchmark can't tell the story of value. And when you can't tell the story of value, budgets get cut, programmes stall, and momentum dies, even when the underlying impact is real. ❓ So, what does good look like? It starts with CDAOs treating productivity measurement as a strategic priority, not an afterthought. That means establishing clear pre-AI baselines across key workflows, defining the metrics that matter (time saved, error rates, decision speed, output quality), and building the data infrastructure to track them consistently over time. 👉 What's your approach to baselining AI value in your organisation? We'd love to hear what's working in the comments. 🔗 LSE Report: AI boosts productivity by the equivalent of one workday per week: https://lnkd.in/eZRQRBeW #DataLeadership #CDAO #AIStrategy #DataLiteracy #AIValue #DataDrivenLeadership

We speak with hundreds of senior data leaders every year. This means we get a front row seat in hearing what they're looking for, struggling with and wanting to achieve. 👏 That's why we're starting a series to help you understand: ❓How are your peers navigating today's biggest challenges and opportunities? ❓What solutions are being invested in, and what does success look like? ❓What use cases are being explored and what value is being realised? When you're in the weeds every day, it's hard to take the time to look up and around. This series will provide bite-size insights to help you reflect and action what's next.

We love a good report, and Cynozure Group has just delivered a juicy one! What's the big number that has our team talking? It's the one where 43% of data leaders acknowledge data culture and literacy programmes as a top priority. 🤔 BUT...will their gap between intention and execution be bridged? It's not easy to figure out the best way to address this, as it's org-wide, and often not a quick fix. And with short tenures CDAOs often would rather dig their heels into another tech transformation than investing in the foundations that make these successful. But that's why you get the experts in (hi, hello!), who are in the weeds of driving value realisation every single day. Yes, culture, data and AI literacy drive ROI. You just need to know how to benchmark, measure and track ongoing success. And that's why you bring in support to fast-track that process. 👉 An essential CDAO read, check it out: https://lnkd.in/eGVQfghp
