  • One of the more interesting findings in this year’s Blue Eskimo Work and Salary report: 📌38% of respondents secured their new role via a recruitment agency. • Over the past year, one clear pattern has emerged from this year’s Work & Salary Report: The way people secure roles in L&D has changed. 💡 Many professionals told us they were applying for roles but hearing very little back. At the same time, hiring managers were telling us they were struggling to find the right people. Both were happening at once. 🤔 What we’re seeing is fewer purely open recruitment processes and more roles being discussed and informally shortlisted before they are widely advertised. Have you noticed this shift? (Report link in comments) #blueeskimo #Learninganddevelopment

  • A headline finding from this year’s report: 22% of L&D professionals experienced redundancy during the past 12 months. On the surface that sounds alarming. But the full data tells a more balanced story. Many of those individuals have already secured new roles and promotion levels remain relatively strong. The evidence suggests this wasn’t a reduction in learning, it was a restructuring of how organisations position and fund L&D teams. In other words, the profession isn’t disappearing. The expectations attached to it are changing. We explore this in more detail in the full report. (Download link in comments)

  • We’re really pleased to share the 2026 Work & Salary Report for the Learning & Development sector 📊 Based on responses from 500+ L&D professionals, it looks at what has actually been happening across: • hiring • salaries • job security • and the growing impact of AI 🤖 If the last year has felt a bit uncertain in L&D… you’re not alone. Many people told us the market felt slower, harder to navigate, and simply different. This report is our attempt to put some context around that and explain what’s changed and why. Over the next few weeks we’ll share some of the key findings and what they mean in practice for both organisations and individuals working in the profession. If you work in L&D, we hope you find it useful. 💬 We’d really value your perspective how has the market felt from your side this year? (Download link in the comments)
