  • 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗴𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲! 🥚🐔While many believe kampong chicken eggs = free-range eggs, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦. 🤔 Here’s an eggs-pert’s guide to what the real difference is: 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗴𝗴𝘀: Comes from a specific breed of chicken native to Malaysia and Indonesia. This doesn’t actually tell us what conditions these chickens were reared in! 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗲-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗲𝗴𝗴𝘀: Laid by hens that are not kept in cages and instead have space to roam, usually indoors. At NTUC FairPrice, you can find cage-free eggs that are produced locally—an eggscellent choice that reduces the overall carbon footprint of your meal. 💚🐣 #WWFSG #TogetherPossible #SustainableLiving #FairPriceGroup #FairPriceCitySquareMall #SupportLocal

As part of #WWFsg’s efforts, our team took on the challenge of recording as many #butterfly species as possible within the designated area and time. With the help of over 30 enthusiastic #WWFsg volunteers and staff, we successfully recorded 20+ butterfly species in the morning! The session provided participants with the chance to observe and admire the #biodiversity that may have typically gone unnoticed. A huge thank you to Gardens by the Bay for organising this incredible event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to engage the public in nature, all while contributing valuable data for conservation and science! 🌿🔍 Here are some images we took: Image 1: Common Mormon Caterpillar (Papilio polytes) Image 2: Common Tiger (Danaus genutia) Image 3: Ciliate Blue (Anthene emolus) Image 4: Painted Jezebel (Delias hyparete) Vivek Kumar, F.IOD Uma Sachidhanandam Kamal Prakash Seth Xiaoyun (Sophia) Zhu Mayj Tolentino Jayasri Narayanan Jiajun Lam Nayli Raifana Ayesha Iskander Eliza Lim Amira Rafi Astri Noorbaini Samsuri Ruth Ang Sihan Ng

𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 🐼: 𝗝𝗜𝗔𝗝𝗨𝗡 That one co-worker who lives and breathes nature! As part of our Education & Outreach team, you’ll often find Jiajun Lam in the great outdoors leading volunteers, the public, partners, donors, and even our own staff on guided nature walks and programmes. With his sharp eyes and knowledge of biodiversity in the different parts of Singapore, every walk is an adventure - you’re guaranteed to spot more plants, insects, and birds than usual! 👀 Beyond aweing us with his ability to identify birds by their calls or name an insect at first glance, Jiajun is usually hard at work behind the scenes! From planning volunteer and outdoor programmes to analysing citizen science data and representing #WWFsg at key conservation working group meetings, he plays a pretty significant role in connecting people with nature. Thank you Jiajun, for all that you do! We can’t wait to see what you’ll be up to for the rest of 2025. 🤭 #PandaSpotlight #Conservationist #natureconservation #NatureBiodiversity Vivek Kumar, F.IOD Uma Sachidhanandam Kamal Prakash Seth Xiaoyun (Sophia) Zhu Mayj Tolentino Jayasri Narayanan Jiajun Lam Eliza Lim Ayesha Iskander Amira Rafi Nayli Raifana Jodie Monteiro Sihan Ng

𝗜𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲… 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸? Over four days, our #WWFsg team Vivek Kumar, F.IOD Sera Brown Sihan Ng Capucine Pierrefeu travelled to Thailand to visit key conservation projects at Kui Buri and Kaeng Krachan National Parks, efforts that we support alongside our friends at WWF Thailand and partner Agoda. These projects show us a glimpse of the contributions from everyone - governments, local communities, businesses, and donors - needed to move the needle to influence the course of conservation. 🐘 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝘚𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘛 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘵 𝘒𝘶𝘪 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘪 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬) A hub for ranger coordination and data management, it was established to enhance the #efficiency and #effectiveness of patrols to reduce encounters between elephants and nearby communities. By leveraging real-time connectivity with the ability to instantly upload data into the system, the team can monitor wildlife movements across a large landscape and shorten response time with improved coordination with frontline rangers. 🏘️ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻. Founded in 2006, the Kuiburi Wildlife Conservation Eco-Tourism Club is a platform where local farmers impacted by human elephant conflict are able to generate income through #sustainabletourism with support from the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation (DNP) and WWF.  As part of the Club, #community members serve as wildlife guides in Kui Buri National Park and engage visitors in other alternative income-generating activities, such as the creation of paper made with elephant dung and pineapple fibres, making Tie-Dye fabrics with elephant dung and natural materials, as well as cultivating honey from Stingless Bees. 🐅 𝗔 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝘏𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘒𝘢𝘦𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬) Recent efforts have been focusing on #ForestProtection and #HabitatImprovement to reestablish the tiger population in Thailand's largest national park. Key ground efforts include ranger patrols, habitat grassland maintenance through forest undergrowth clearing and the creation of water holes and salt licks for local fauna, and continuous wildlife monitoring with camera traps. Thank you again to the WWF-Thailand team for their remarkable work on the ground while being such wonderful hosts, and to Agoda for being one of the key supporters of these projects, ensuring this beautiful landscape and all its inhabitants continue to thrive. #Elephantconservation #conservation #SoutheastAsia #TigerConservation Uma Sachidhanandam Kamal Prakash Seth Xiaoyun (Sophia) Zhu Mayj Tolentino Rohit Singh Philip Kitcher Tiara Hadi Oranit Bunyaprasit Boratay Uysal
