As part of our company’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) initiatives, we were honoured to welcome Mr Benson Soh as our special guest speaker during last week's Healthy Lunch Day, where he shared valuable insights about building positive relationships in the workplace. This meaningful session, organised in collaboration with Fullerton Health, highlighted how supportive, respectful, and collaborative relationships are key to creating a safer, healthier, and more productive work environment. During the session, our team members also shared thoughtful ideas on fostering stronger workplace connections, such as adopting an open communication style, engaging in meaningful team discussions, and bonding over lunch and leisure activities. These small yet purposeful actions go a long way in strengthening trust and communication across teams. Let’s continue working together to build a positive, connected, and thriving workplace culture at Singapore Flyer! #SingaporeFlyer #WorkplaceSafetyAndHealth

Last week, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BMSMILE and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to bring the vibrant South Korean lifestyle brand WIGGLE WIGGLE to the Singapore Flyer. At the heart of this four-month partnership are a series of five unique Singapore Flyer capsules designed with WIGGLE WIGGLE's signature aesthetics, a dedicated experience zone and pop-up store offering WIGGLE WIGGLE’s popular lifestyle products, and giant inflatables for creative photo opportunities at one of Singapore's most iconic landmarks. Ringo Leung, General Manager of Singapore Flyer, said, "We are thrilled to partner with WIGGLE WIGGLE and STB to transform the Singapore Flyer into an immersive wonderland of themed experiences and exclusive retail offerings. This collaboration reaffirms our dedication to designing novel and boundary-pushing experiences that captivate visitors to Singapore alongside local residents. By teaming up with iconic brands like WIGGLE WIGGLE, we aim to elevate the Singapore Flyer beyond its status as a sightseeing landmark, transforming it into a vibrant cultural and entertainment destination for all.” #VisitSingapore #SingaporeFlyer #wigglewigglesingapore (From left) Lily Park, Chief Executive Officer, BMSMILE Singapore; Kenneth Lim, Assistant Chief Executive (Marketing Group), Singapore Tourism Board; Lee Ju Kwang, Chairman, BMSMILE; Melissa Ow, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board; Amos Ng, Chief Financial Officer, Straco Corporation Ltd; and Ringo Leung, General Manager, Singapore Flyer.

Did you know? Excess water produced by our capsules’ air conditioning systems is channelled into and recycled through the rainforest waterfall directly below the Singapore Flyer. This process generates around 32 litres of water per hour – a forward-thinking design that weaves water sustainability into the very heart of our structure. 22 March was World Water Day, a day designated by the United Nations to celebrate water and highlight the importance of water sustainability. In Singapore, PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, leads the movement with #SingaporeWorldWaterDay, a month-long, nationwide celebration in March that rallies the community towards water conservation. In recognition of this special day, Singapore Flyer organised a Wear Blue Day last Friday, where team members pledged their support through a palette of blue hues and reaffirmed their commitment to practising water-saving habits both at work and at home. Throughout the month, visitors can also spot PUB's campaign video and poster on our digital screens as we join the nation in this meaningful initiative to #MakeEveryDropCount. 💧 For more information on the campaign, click here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gKgMMiFe #SingaporeFlyer #SingaporeFlyerSupports #OurWaterSG60

Yew Mun’s career at Singapore Flyer is the perfect example of climbing the ranks. A two-time recipient of the Excellent Service Award (Gold) by the Association of Singapore Attractions, he joined as an operations crew member when the observation wheel first opened in 2008 and over the years, advanced through roles including Team Leader, Assistant Duty Manager, and ultimately Duty Manager. Previously a retail supervisor at a supermarket chain and now also a football referee assessor on his days off, he made a bold leap into the tourism industry in pursuit of new experiences – and has never looked back. *** 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀? As part of the Operations team, I ensure each shift runs smoothly, including overseeing crew members and conducting equipment checks. This is a job that presents as many challenges as it does satisfaction, when you realise that keeping one of the icons of the Singapore skyline operating smoothly is vital to how visitors to our country perceive us. Until this year, I also served as the Site Incident Controller for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), leading a team of Singapore Flyer team members to ensure we were prepared to respond to on-site emergencies before the SCDF arrived. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯? Many assume we’re just ushers, but our role goes far beyond that. Our primary responsibility is to provide end-to-end customer service, assisting with ticketing and flight enquiries while ensuring a pleasant guest experience. We strategically position crew members at key touchpoints and also coordinate with various teams to facilitate the seamless boarding of guests on wheelchairs and premium experience guests. Besides that, I also manage the housekeeping schedule to ensure that Singapore Flyer’s premises and facilities remain spick and span. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝘆𝗲𝗿? I’m grateful for supportive bosses and collaborative colleagues who always have each other’s backs. You asked why I’ve stayed for so long? There’s your answer. #PeopleofSingaporeFlyer #SingaporeFlyer
