    SATS Ltd is pleased to announce that SATS-Creuers Cruise Services Pte Ltd (SCCS), a joint venture with Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A., will undergo its most extensive upgrading works of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) since it opened, which will see a new check-in area for cruise passengers, updated amenities and a new, larger Ground Transport Area (GTA) with more bus parking bays and ride-hailing lots. Chairman of SATS-Creuers, Bob Chi, shared that “the upgrade will deliver a better visitor experience for passengers, while improving efficiency for cruise ship operators.” The expanded terminal will be able to support almost double its current capacity and facilitate larger and dual ship calls. Chairman & CEO of Global Ports Holding, parent company of Creuers, Mehmet Kutman said: “Singapore is a key hub for the cruise industry, and SATS-Creuers’ commitment to upgrading Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore highlights its dedication to delivering world-class passenger experiences. Together with SATS, we combine our expertise to deliver innovative solutions and exceptional outcomes for the cruise industry.” The news was announced by Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, at the Tourism Industry Conference organised by the Singapore Tourism Board.
