  • Today, Horizon Quantum began its journey as a public company, trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “HQ.” This milestone was only possible thanks to the efforts of our stakeholders. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to this achievement. To mark the occasion, this morning our Founder & CEO Dr Joe Fitzsimons and CSO Dr Si-Hui Tan rang the opening bell at the Nasdaq exchange. You can watch the replay of the ceremony here: https://lnkd.in/gAjtK96n As we enter this next phase, we remain committed to—and excited about—achieving our mission of unlocking broad quantum advantage by building the software infrastructure that empowers developers to use quantum computing to solve the world’s toughest computational problems.

  • Céad míle fáilte to the Irish delegation we hosted in Singapore this week in honour of St Patrick’s Day, led by the Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform, and Digitilisation, Frank Feighan TD. Ambassador of Ireland to Singapore Sarah McGrath and the IDA’s Director of ASEAN Philip Dunne were also in attendance. Following a closed-door session hosted by Horizon’s Vice President of Engineering Dr Ray Lloyd, the delegation toured Horizon Quantum’s hardware testbed, where they saw Ember-1—Horizon’s superconducting quantum system. Ember-1 became operational in December 2025 and made Horizon the first quantum software company to own and operate its own quantum computer. The delegation also saw a demonstration of Triple Alpha, our integrated development environment, presented by members of Horizon’s team. The visit concluded with time for conversation, refreshments, and a chance to celebrate the growing connections between Ireland and Singapore’s deep-tech ecosystems.

  • Today, we announce the completion of our previously announced business combination with DMY Square Technology Group Inc. Tomorrow, Horizon Quantum’s common stock and warrants will begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbols “HQ” and “HQWWW,” respectively. The closing of the Business Combination provides us with gross proceeds of approximately $120 million, before transaction expenses, which we plan to use to accelerate our investments in research and development, strengthen our hardware testbed, and further advance our integrated development environment Triple Alpha. “Recent rapid progress in advancing quantum computing hardware and breakthroughs in error correction mean that the field is reaching an inflection point. With today’s closing and our Nasdaq listing, Horizon Quantum is positioned to deliver the software infrastructure that will power this next phase of computing and help enable broad quantum advantage across tough computational problems,” said our Founder & CEO Dr Joe Fitzsimons. “While there is still much work needed before quantum computers reach their full potential, with more than 20 years in quantum computing research, I have never been more excited about the prospects and future of the technology.” Read more in our press release:  https://lnkd.in/ggpyY4xG

  • Today, we’re pleased to unveil Horizon Quantum’s new website. As we enter our next phase as a listed company, we felt the time was right to redefine how we present our mission, vision, and technology to the world. www.horizonquantum.com The new site offers a complete view of our work to build the software infrastructure that powers quantum applications. We invite you to explore the site and learn more about what we’re developing at Horizon.

  • Today, we were excited to welcome Minister for Digital Development and Information of Singapore Mrs Josephine Teo to our Singapore headquarters to inaugurate our quantum hardware testbed. Our CEO Dr Joe Fitzsimons led Minister Teo on a tour of the testbed facility and provided a technical briefing. Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Teo said, “With the launch of this hardware testbed, Horizon Quantum has become the first quantum software company to own and operate its own quantum computer in Singapore.” She continued, “As more quantum computing systems come online within this testbed, Singapore’s role as a global quantum infrastructure node and a hub for algorithms and applications will only grow stronger. That is our vision. That Horizon Quantum's first quantum computer was built and run in-house with best-in-class components is particularly commendable. It reflects the deep capabilities that have been built up within the Horizon Quantum team.”   In December, the first quantum system in our testbed facility, which has capacity to host multiple systems, became fully operational. Our in-house team assembled and integrated the system, combining a Rigetti Computing superconducting quantum processor, Quantum Machines' control electronics, and Maybell Quantum’s cryogenic platform.

  • Today, we are excited to announce a strategic collaboration with Alice & Bob (A&B) to leverage both our companies’ strengths and streamline the development and deployment of fault-tolerant quantum computing software. By integrating A&B’s emulators—”virtual versions” of the company’s hardware—with Triple Alpha, our powerful development infrastructure, this collaboration seeks to create a full-stack solution for quantum application development that combines best-in-class technologies at both the hardware and software levels. “Realising the full potential of quantum computing will require building systems that are fault-tolerant,” said our CEO Dr Joe Fitzsimons. “By bringing together Horizon Quantum’s expertise in quantum programming and compilation with Alice & Bob's expertise in fault-tolerant hardware architectures, I believe this partnership will help drive progress towards practical fault-tolerant quantum computing.” A&B’s emulators provide the opportunity for quantum software developers to experiment with and test quantum error correction protocols. By making them available through Triple Alpha, we aim to broaden the range of hardware architectures Triple Alpha supports and enable its users to develop on a promising new quantum computing platform. “Building a complete quantum software stack requires careful integration of algorithms, error correction, and compilation. We believe our partnership with Horizon Quantum is an essential step in ensuring we take a rigorous, research-driven approach to these challenges,” said Dr Théau Peronnin, CEO of A&B. • Today, we announced the debut of Beryllium, a hardware-agnostic, high-level language for programming quantum computers. Beryllium is an object-oriented language, allowing developers to start with simple classical and quantum building blocks and progressively create richer, higher-level structures by reusing and extending what they have already defined. This layering of abstraction is designed to empower developers to think in terms of information structure rather than qubits and low-level processing details. "At Horizon Quantum, we believe that enabling conventional software developers to harness quantum computers will be key to unlocking new applications,” said our CEO Dr. Joe Fitzsimons. “We believe Beryllium is an important milestone, as we introduce the abstraction needed to bridge the gap between classical and quantum programming.” We will preview Beryllium this week at Q2B Silicon Valley, a leading quantum technology conference. We will also introduce additional technological progress across our software stack, including new pulse-level capabilities and the ability to execute our Hydrogen code directly on control systems hardware. If you are at Q2B, learn more about our latest capabilities by joining our CSO Dr Si-Hui Tan for a keynote on Wednesday, attending a tutorial by our Senior Scientist Lukas M. on Thursday, or visiting our booth any day for a demo.
