Common questions

Still stuck? Ask us and we help you get it live.

How do I add an astrology widget to my website?

Pick a widget at widgets, such as a horoscope, birth chart, moon phase or tarot card, choose a theme and light or dark, and add your key. Copy the code into a code or embed block on Squarespace, WordPress or Shopify, or paste the link into Wix. The widget fetches live readings on your page with no server of your own.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The builder writes the code and shows the steps for your site builder, three clicks from pick to paste. A widget that needs birth details or a zodiac sign asks your visitor for them itself.

Which site builders work?

Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Shopify and any page that accepts custom HTML. On WordPress the free RoxyAPI plugin adds the same readings as blocks and shortcodes.

How accurate are the charts?

Planet positions read the NASA JPL DE440 ephemeris and sit at a median deviation of 0.05 arcseconds (0.00001 degrees) from NASA JPL Horizons, on a public benchmark anyone can rerun at roxyapi.github.io/astrology-api-benchmark. Birth places resolve to the time zone in force on the birth date, summer time included.

Are the readings written by AI?

No. No language model writes a word. Charts, horoscopes and moon phases are computed from the real sky, and each horoscope names the transits it is written from, so an astrologer can check every line.

Will the widgets match my brand?

Yes. Pick a theme preset and light, dark or automatic, and the code you copy carries that look onto your site.

Can I show a widget in another language?

Yes. A widget follows the language of the page it sits on, or the one you pick in the builder. Readings come in 10+ languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, French, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional).

Is my key safe on a public page?

Yes. A widget key is a publishable key that answers only on the websites you list for it and reads no account data. Remove a site or revoke the key in your account at any time.

Is there a RoxyAPI credit line on the widgets?

Not unless you add one. Every widget renders under your brand alone. Tick Credit RoxyAPI under Content in the builder for a small source link under the reading.

Are the widgets free?

The widget code is MIT licensed and free to use. Live readings run on a RoxyAPI plan, and every plan includes every widget.
