  • Trust at scale doesn't happen by accident. Our CTO, Joel Hron, shares key lessons from our journey to one million CoCounsel users and explains why AI for legal, tax, and compliance must be purpose-built for trust from day one.

A few days ago, we shared that one million customers have used CoCounsel. Milestones are easy to celebrate. Earning trust at that scale is not. When professionals rely on AI for legal, tax, risk, and compliance work, accuracy is not optional. Accountability is not a feature. It is the standard. At one million users, AI is no longer a pilot. It is infrastructure. Trust does not emerge over time. It has to be engineered into the models, workflows, and the way systems are deployed from the start. That has been our focus from day one. If you are interested in how we think about building AI for high-stakes professional work, I shared more here: https://lnkd.in/gQErWqif

CoCounsel has reached 1 million users by doing what general AI and vertical startups haven't: delivering fiduciary-grade AI that meets enterprise standards. When AI integrates deep domain expertise and content with trusted tools, it delivers real ROI.

For the past two years, we've seen two main AI strategies emerge: ✨ General-purpose models that can do everything for everyone—but lack the depth for complex, high-stakes professional work. ✨ Vertical AI startups with focus—but missing the proprietary content, trusted tools, and enterprise infrastructure professionals need. Enterprises tested both. Neither delivered. That's why we built CoCounsel differently from the start—integrating deep domain expertise, proprietary content, expert validation, and the professional tools our customers already trust. We just crossed 1 million users. Because if it can't complete work with professional standards, it can't deliver ROI. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gEKRuEN9

  • See CoCounsel in action. 🚀 Catch this clip from Anthropic's "The Briefing: Enterprise Agents" earlier this week for a look at how agentic AI is moving from experimentation into real, high-stakes fiduciary workflows. Purpose-built for legal, grounded in authoritative content like Westlaw and Practical Law, and designed for production. https://lnkd.in/gZhXGFca

  • Our CEO, Steve Hasker, joined Anthropic's "The Briefing: Enterprise Agents" to share what we've learned as CoCounsel reached 1 million users.   Two principles that guide our approach to AI at scale:   ✨ Validation and verification are foundational – Trust is built through rigorous accuracy and reliability in every interaction. ✨ Your information stays yours – We do not repurpose customer inputs to train third-party models or generate outputs for other users.   We're proud to lead the way in responsible AI deployment for professional services—building not just fast, but right.   Thank you to the Anthropic team for having us, and to our incredible customers who've made this milestone possible. https://lnkd.in/gg8mVrck

  • Today in San Francisco, we put our AI in the hands of the press. No polished demo reel, just live access to the systems our customers trust, powered by CoCounsel, Thomson Reuters AI Technology Journalists ran real workflows. Compared outputs. Asked hard questions. We also hosted Anthropic’s Head of Applied AI, Cat de Jong, who joined us to talk about what it takes to move AI from pilot to production. Thanks to everyone that joined us today - more tomorrow!

  • "At Thomson Reuters, continuous learning is a fundamental part of our culture. As we lead the way in delivering cutting-edge AI tools, I have been focused on mastering Python to better understand the foundations of large language models. I am also using my knowledge in Figma and code to optimize our Saffron design system, streamlining the handoff from design to development as we build out future AI-driven features. "Joining the Black Employee Network, one of 11 Business Resource Groups open to all employees, has been a real joy. This experience has provided a vital space to connect with a community I might not have encountered otherwise. Attending events has sparked deep reflection on my career path, introduced me to various development tools, and connected me with individuals who would make incredible mentors. My only regret is that as a remote employee, I may never get to meet these wonderful folks in person. "This Black History Month, I am leaning into building community and carving out time for some serious reflection. I am studying the history and strategies of past civil rights movements to gain a deeper understanding of how they flourished. By learning from these lived experiences, I hope to apply those lessons to modern advocacy, working toward equity and systemic change for myself and others both within the current system and beyond."
