Perihal kami

Khazanah Nasional Berhad is the sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia with the aim of delivering sustainable economic and societal values for the nation. As a strategic investor, we strive to balance between growing financial returns and being a responsible organisation for future generations of Malaysians to benefit from what we do today. In balancing our dual objective, we invest in two separate funds. Our Commercial Fund focuses on investing responsibly and commercially to preserve and grow the long-term value of our assets, while our Strategic Fund undertakes investments to deliver economic and societal returns for the nation and its people. Khazanah was incorporated under the Companies Act 2016 on 3 September 1993 as a public limited company and began operations a year later. Except for one share owned by the Federal Lands Commissioner, all the share capital of Khazanah is owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated, a body pursuant to the Ministry of Finance (Incorporation) Act 1957.

https://lnkd.in/ghE25wb3 Immensely proud to see our Government-Linked Investment Companies (GLICs) stepping up to implement the living wage policy for all their permanent Malaysian employees. This collective action by Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Permodalan Nasional Berhad, EPF Malaysia, KWAP Malaysia, LEMBAGA TABUNG ANGKATAN TENTERA, and Tabung Haji exemplifies the whole-of-nation approach required to deliver on our Ekonomi MADANI vision. At a time when solidarity from within is more important than ever in the face of economic uncertainty, this is precisely the type of collaboration we need. By setting the benchmark living wage at approximately RM3,100 monthly, our GLICs are making a substantial commitment to "raising the floor" for Malaysian workers. The impact of this initiative extends beyond the immediate beneficiaries. As this living wage implementation cascades through the GLIC and GLC ecosystems, tens of thousands of Malaysian households will build better financial resilience as we navigate the challenges ahead. This creates a virtuous cycle: more robust domestic consumption, increased productivity, and reduced dependence on external economic factors. What's also encouraging is seeing how each GLIC is approaching this not just as a compliance exercise, but as a strategic imperative aligned with sustainable business practices. By incorporating total compensation approaches that include healthcare, retirement benefits, and other quality-of-life enhancements, our GLICs are demonstrating leadership in social governance. I am hopeful for the momentum to pick up. As more GLCs adopt similar policies by 2026, we will build economic resilience from the ground up – by empowering the country’s most important assets. #EkonomiMADANI #LivingWage

  • Khazanah, together with other GLICs -PNB, EPF, KWAP, LTAT, and LTH have come together to adopt a Living Wage policy for all their permanent Malaysian employees. This collaborative effort marks a significant step towards a more inclusive and equitable future under the Ekonomi MADANI framework. Implemented through the GEAR-uP programme led by the Ministry of Finance, this initiative fosters strategic alignment among GLICs, driving inclusive growth across Malaysia’s vital economic sectors. This Labour Day, we honour the dedication of those who propel our progress forward. Together, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the aspirations of Ekonomi MADANI, striving to elevate the lives of all Malaysians. • In honour of the late Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi, we pay tribute to his legacy as our former Chairman and Malaysia’s fifth Prime Minister. Fondly known as Pak Lah, he championed a vision of progress rooted in integrity, compassion, and shared prosperity. His leadership shaped transformative initiatives — from the GLC Transformation Programme to the establishment of economic corridors like Iskandar Malaysia — leaving a lasting impact on Khazanah and the nation’s development journey. Above all, he believed in the power of the people: nurturing minds, uplifting communities, and building a nation grounded in faith and compassion — the very values Khazanah continues to uphold today. Thank you, Pak Lah. May your legacy continue to inspire us all. Al-Fatihah.

  • At the fifth series of the Forum Ilmuwan Malaysia MADANI, Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim underscored the crucial role of Government-Linked Investment Companies (GLICs) in driving Malaysia’s transformation and growth. Moderating the session titled Peranan Syarikat Pelaburan Berkaitan Kerajaan dalam Mentransformasikan Syarikat: Mengimbangi Keuntungan dan Tanggungjawab untuk Mencetuskan Negara yang Berdaya Cipta, the Prime Minister highlighted that Malaysia can no longer rely on incremental change — a quantum leap is needed to achieve developed nation status. Khazanah is committed to this vision by championing initiatives aligned with national priorities in AI, energy transition and equitable development. Together, we are working towards a nation built on knowledge, wealth, equity and shared prosperity. The forum featured Plantation and Commodities Minister YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Khazanah Nasional managing director Dato' Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir and Khazanah Research Institute chairman Dr Nungsari Ahmad Radhi. Also present was Higher Education Minister YB Dato' Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir. #KhazanahNasional #MalaysiaMADANI #ForumIlmuwanMalaysiaMADANI #ANationThatCreates #AdvancingMalaysia
