MYStartup NXT wraps up on a high note — with ASEAN startup ecosystem growth in sharp focus and a renewed commitment to ASEAN Startup Year 2025. We were honoured to host H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN, who shared ASEAN’s broader vision for regional innovation. His message was echoed in a thought-provoking panel led by Cradle’s Ts. Zehan Teoh, alongside YBhg. Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Azman Hassan (MOSTI), Dr. Kanchana Wanichkorn (ASEAN), and Kentaro Machii (ERIA).

We welcomed our Guest of Honour, YB Chang Lih Kang, Minister of MOSTI, who shared his aspirations for Malaysia’s Chairmanship — a vision strongly echoed by fellow honorable guests, YBhg. Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Azman Hassan, Deputy Sec-Gen of MOSTI; Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke, Group CEO of Cradle, and Kamarul Ariffin Abdul Samad, CEO of Cyberview. We extend our sincere appreciation to our esteemed partners for their continued support and collaboration in our shared mission to strengthen and elevate the startup ecosystem. Also part of the event, YB Chang also received an exclusive preview of the upcoming MYStartup Annual Report 2023–2024, which captures the initiative’s progress and key milestones over the past year.

Cradle’s LIVE event looks to deliver real value through sessions led by Cradle’s own and our esteemed ecosystem partners. Izzianni Ismail from the Grants team, alongside Hafez Azhar, Head of Legal & Governance, took the stage to walk attendees through Cradle’s grant offerings - and the often-overlooked due diligence process. Today’s partners - KLDX, PETRONAS, StartupCorners, ERIA: Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, Zoho, Joget, Inc., Amazon Web Services (AWS), and PACE by Artem PACE by Artem. - also shared valuable insightful support to the ever-growing ecosystem.

The agenda begins. Ts. Zehan Teoh, SVP of Cradle’s Ecosystem Development, kicks things off with opening remarks — sharing his earnest hopes for the impact this event will have on the startup ecosystem. Stepping into the spotlight, Cradle’s own Ts. Adam Ramskay from the CEO’s Office and Johnathan Lee from the Ecosystem Development team take the reins as moderators for the day’s first two sessions, “Precision & Performance: Raising the Bar for Malaysian Startups” and “Malaysia’s Next Gen Startup Builders”. They sat down with the minds behind Borong, Ejen2u, Midwest Composites, StoreHub, Qarbotech and Formedic Technologies among others — trailblazers who aren’t just making waves, but quietly redrawing the map of Malaysia’s startup future. #CradleFund #MYStartupNXT
