Heats up in the sun, dims the screen, sometimes stops the video recording because Apple decided you don't get proper vapor chamber cooling.

And it is so kind of you to defend a multi trillion dollar company for free. They are going through a very difficult time.
Also, SSDs, in this economy?

I find really funny that they never use in the comparative powerrful phones like RedMagic or Samsung S series, the use worse phones to make iPhone look better, but it is launched out of date aspects like GPU and RAM and even being a new and expensive phone is really weak in perfomance, not even close to the top charts...

The camera system is good, just not as excellent as the fan base like to keep believing - it used to be better.

Day one user came from 15 pro 128gb . Must say my old phone is 920 cycle and 87% . But i figure after 3 years i must upgrade so i did with the max this time. Its huge compare to the old 6.1 or even 6.3 . Other then this the i can play and use my phone for a full day without charge its so cool hhh

TSMC's "2nm" (N2) (and Samsung, Intel and so on) process is not literally based on a 2 nm transistor feature size.
Like modern 7 nm, 5 nm, and 3 nm nodes, "2nm" is primarily a "technology generation name" rather than a direct physical measurement.
Approximate Physical Dimensions of TSMC N2 (and Samsung, Intel and so on)
The values of 45 nm contacted gate pitch and 20 nm metal pitch are consistent with industry roadmaps for the 2 nm node class.
Why the Name Is Misleading
In the early semiconductor era, node names roughly matched a real transistor dimension. That stopped more than a decade ago.
Today:
•2 nm does not mean a 2 nm gate length.
•2 nm does not mean a 2 nm transistor width.
•2 nm does not mean wires are 2 nm apart.
Instead, the node name represents a combination of:
•higher transistor density,
•lower power consumption,
•higher performance,
•new transistor structures (such as GAA nanosheets).
What Is Actually New in TSMC N2?
TSMC N2 is the company's first mass-production node using GAA nanosheet transistors, replacing the FinFET architecture used from 16 nm through 3 nm.
This improves electrostatic control, leakage, and power efficiency.
Bottom line:
TSMC's "2nm" process is not physically 2 nm.
The most critical dimensions are between 20-45 nm, while the 2 nm label "mainly identifies the generation of technology" rather than a literal feature size.
The Same with Samsung, Intel and so on... Just Marketing BlaBla and no physically reality behind.

It's not that useful for other things except making daytime videos a bit smoother. Dxomark of course takes any opportunity to glaze apple and hard focuses on this feature like it's something ground breaking.

What an irrelevant new iteration of the once innovative iPhone. Steve Jobs would rotate in his grave if he could see how his successors have transformed the iPhone line from being awesome and disruptive into being uninspiring, utterly boring and blasphemically expensive devices nobody really needs.
I mean, 1800€ for a 12/512 GB device is probably the worst bang for the buck I have ever seen, including some feature phones with diamonds.
Its most prominent technological "advancement" this year: a variable aperture on the main camera module.
Well, Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei used variable apertures for many years and have abandoned them because they are barely useful on such small sensors.
The CPU/GPU are certainly great on the new iPhone, but show me one single application that would suddenly provide a whole new level of user experience by this new chip.
Oh and well, kudos to Apple for the phenomenal battery life. Still not worth 1840 bucks.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2026Ok there's two things to unpack here:
1) The risk i... moreI've worked in IT security for decades. Absurdly slow write speeds is a massive data integrity issue. The worst of them all, as it is almost guaranteed to generate data corruption. Once the cache can't keep up, your software will either have to freeze completely or it'll have to start dropping data. That cached data is also a problem in itself, as it's more likely to dimply get lost or out of sync.
Again, if it is true the real write speed of the two most expensive models is a measly 1MB/s, then that should be a reason for a full recall before they're even shipped.
Your spin about Apple's slow USB speed is irrelevant here. The problem is the fast connections, over wireless. And again, even that 1GB/s speed on USB is way faster than the rumoured write speed.
Lastly, for the umpteenth time, write speed is the absolute critical one. Lack of read speed only makes things slow, but lack of write speed is the data corruptor, for the above reasons.

Somehow, the pictures from the 17 Pro Max looks better. The images from the 18 Pro Max looks too soft and lacks details. And at the same time, it does not look natural unlike the images from Sony Xperia 1 VIII.
