Hundreds of thousands of packers and riders marking attendance across hundreds of dark stores, on budget phones, in low-light warehouses. No off-the-shelf solution handled that combination well enough. So we built our own — on-device face detection via ML Kit, ArcFace embeddings through InsightFace, HNSW-indexed vector search on Milvus, and custom MobileNet/ResNet classifiers for spoof, blur, and nudity detection — all running in parallel to keep latencies in check. No OTPs. No registers. No buddy punching. Just a selfie. 🤳 It's now in production across Zepto's network, processing hundreds of thousands of verifications daily. ⚡ We're open-sourcing it because the problem isn't unique to us. GRC thought leaders like Michael Rasmussen talk about organizations reaching a 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲, where risk awareness becomes embedded in how companies operate. And analysts like Cody Scott at Forrester describe 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗥𝗖. The common idea is that risk thinking moves beyond a single department. In my view, the future of GRC will be 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 continuous monitoring of risk signals. Cognitive in using AI to interpret patterns. And pervasive across the enterprise. Risk intelligence will start flowing through organizations the way financial data flows today. So GRC won’t disappear — but it will become 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. This role feels like the right fit after a long and thoughtful search. BrightInsight has built a strong track record of designing solutions that help patients worldwide stay persistent and adherent to therapies that are often complex, long-term, and critical to outcomes. That work matters. It shows up in the data, in partnerships like the recently shared Sanofi results, and in the confidence reflected by the company’s latest funding round. What ultimately made the decision clear to me was the intersection of people and purpose. My conversations with leadership were grounded, candid, and rigorous in the best ways. We share the belief that long-term impact comes from evidence, clarity, and respect for the patient journey that goes well beyond the first prescription fill. I’m grateful to be here and excited to contribute to work that is already making a meaningful difference for patients across the globe. 🙌 As for the job market... The market can feel incredibly challenging. The search to find the right role can be long, disorienting, and humbling, even for very talented people. What stood out just as much was the MetricStream team on the ground. Sales. Pre-sales. Marketing, Services. Customer success. Support. Products. Different functions working as one team around the customer. In meeting after meeting I saw the rhythm — framing the challenge, translating possibilities, grounding it in implementation, and focusing on outcomes. No silos. No “that’s not my job.” Just a shared commitment to helping customers navigate a complex world of risk, compliance, resilience — and now AI. Behind every successful customer conversation is a team that moves as one. Grateful for this incredible team in Europe making it happen right there every day.
