Social animals vs Solitary animals— Social animals live in group and are driven by desire to live together, help each other in struggles, joy and every moment.. Solitary animals are driven by strong need to protect their territory and ensure that becomes sole objective over everything.. What kind of leader are you .. social or solitary??

Nishanth MS posted thisThere are some timeless corporate and leadership lessons that can be drawn from the life of Lord Rama. Here’s a look at a few key takeaways that resonate well with modern organizational and professional environments: 1. Lead with Integrity Lesson from Rama: He upheld dharma (duty/righteousness) even at personal cost, like when he accepted exile to honor his father’s promise. Corporate Insight: A good leader sticks to values and ethics even when it’s inconvenient. Integrity builds long-term trust with stakeholders. 2. Team Building and Respect Lesson from Rama: He built a loyal and diverse team—Hanuman, Sugriva, Jambavan, Vibhishana—each with different strengths. Corporate Insight: A great leader identifies, trusts, and empowers team members with different skills. Loyalty and respect are two-way streets. 3. Strategic Thinking Lesson from Rama: He planned meticulously to rescue Sita, forming alliances and executing with precision (e.g., building the bridge to Lanka). Corporate Insight: Leaders must plan strategically, seek collaboration when needed, and be flexible in their approach to problem-solving. 4. Humility in Leadership Lesson from Rama: Despite being a prince (and later king), he remained humble and respectful toward others, including sages and commoners. Corporate Insight: Humility makes leaders more approachable and fosters a culture of openness and learning. 5. Crisis Management Lesson from Rama: He remained calm, composed, and determined during crises—whether it was exile, Sita’s abduction, or war. Corporate Insight: Leaders must maintain emotional control during crises, think clearly under pressure, and inspire confidence in their team. 6. Empowerment and Delegation Lesson from Rama: He gave Hanuman and others critical responsibilities, trusting them to deliver—like sending Hanuman to search for Sita. Corporate Insight: Micromanagement kills productivity. Empowering people with responsibility and trusting them boosts morale and innovation. 7. Clarity of Vision and Purpose Lesson from Rama: He never lost sight of his goal—to uphold dharma and protect those who were righteous. Corporate Insight: A strong vision and sense of purpose are essential to align teams and keep them motivated through challenges.

Nishanth MS liked thisNishanth MS liked thisA ₹1700 Cr bridge collapses. Roads fail in days. We call it corruption. What if the real issue is a society that no longer encourages its children to build the nation? Civil engineering in India is not dying—it is being systematically abandoned. This is not a demand problem. India is building at an unprecedented scale. Cities are expanding, infrastructure is accelerating, and housing demand remains strong. Yet, the sector is facing a silent crisis: a collapse of aspiration. Our social structures no longer encourage capable young minds to enter construction. The field is widely perceived as unorganised, opaque, and often associated with inefficiency and corruption. In contrast, sectors like technology, finance, medicine , etc ; offer structured growth, social respect, and financial clarity. The result? Parents of our brightest talent is choosing to keep the children away from the very industry that builds the nation. Civil engineering—a symbol of nation-building—is increasingly treated as a fallback option rather than a first choice. And this shift is creating a dangerous vacuum. When professionally trained and ethically driven individuals exit the ecosystem, it does not remain empty. It gets filled by participants driven by survival or short-term financial gain. In such an environment: • Quality becomes negotiable • Processes become informal • Accountability weakens The consequences are visible all around us. Structures are built fast but fail early. Infrastructure demands constant repair. The built environment reflects compromise, not capability. In India today, almost anyone can enter construction and build for money. But when entry barriers are low and standards are undefined, the outcome is predictable—we create more buildings, but not necessarily better ones. If this trajectory continues, the long-term cost will not just be structural—it will be economic and societal. The solution is not limited to improving engineering education. The real need is to restore dignity, structure, and transparency to the construction ecosystem. We must make construction a sector where professionals want to belong—not avoid. Until then, civil engineering will continue to lose relevance in a country that needs it the most. What’s your take?? HDFC ERGO General Insurance has named Parthanil Ghosh as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership shift at one of India’s leading private-sector insurers. The decision was approved by the company’s board on March 11, with the appointment set to take effect from April 16, 2026. It remains subject to regulatory approvals, including clearance from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India. Ghosh will take over from Anuj Tyagi, who has guided the company through a period of steady growth and operational focus. This transition comes at a time when the insurance sector in India is evolving quickly. Customer expectations are changing, digital adoption is accelerating, and competition continues to intensify. Against this backdrop, HDFC ERGO is looking to strengthen its market position while investing further in technology-led services and customer-first strategies. Ghosh’s appointment reflects the company’s intent to build on its current momentum while preparing for the next phase of growth. The focus ahead is likely to center on expanding reach, improving digital capabilities, and delivering more responsive and personalized insurance solutions. 🏪🩻🩺💊💉🌡️🧪🧫⚗️🏪🩻🩺🩹💊💉🌡️🧪🧫 🩺 Why Premiums Are a Worry📢 As people grow older, health insurance premiums increase sharply — sometimes by 100–400%. For senior citizens, this creates a financial burden. Many feel stuck: if they stop paying, they lose cover; if they continue, it eats into their savings. 💡 Why Super Top-Up Is Effective 1️⃣💊 Lower Premiums: They cost much less than full base policies. 2️⃣💊 High Coverage: You can get ₹10–₹20 lakh coverage at a reasonable cost. 3️⃣💊Works with Deductibles: You pay for medical expenses up to a certain amount (e.g., ₹2–5 lakh), then the super top-up kicks in. 4️⃣💊Combine Smartly: Use a small base policy + a high-value super top-up for full protection without high costs. 5️⃣💊 Value-for-Money: You pay less but still get big cover — especially useful after retirement. 💰 Ideal Product Combination 🔹 Base Plan – 2–5 lakh 🔹 Super Top-Up Plan – 10–25 lakh (with base deductible) This combo keeps your premium low while giving you large coverage for serious health emergencies. 🧠 Why This Matters🏪😪 🌡️Health insurance is becoming less affordable for seniors, pushing them to seek alternative strategies like: 🌡️Strategic use of super top-ups 🌡️Building medical corpus 🌡️Using government or group plans However, completely exiting insurance may leave them vulnerable to high-cost medical emergencies, especially without proper planning. 🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫🧫 #Irdai #Healthinsurance #Seniorcitizen #Generalinsurance #Insurance

I spent the last two days in a fascinating Senior Leadership Capability Experience workshop at Gyanodaya on Self Compassion for Leaders . As organisations navigate through increasing strategic complexity and sustained performance, leadership effectiveness is shaped not only by strategic execution but by the quality of judgement, presence , and inner alignment leaders bring to the eco system around them. Leaders often push themselves relentlessly, but true strength emerges from self-compassion. I was fortunate to have the session facilitated by Dr. Chris Germer, himself, co-creator of the globally recognised Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program, whose work bridges leadership, neuroscience and human performance with rigor and relevance. He explained that treating ourselves with the kindness we’d offer a friend , unlocks resilience and empathy in leadership. Why Self-Compassion Matters to Leaders? High-pressure decisions and setbacks can fuel self-criticism, eroding emotional stability. Dr. Germer emphasizes on recognizing personal struggle mindfully, then responding with warmth to activate our caregiving system for calmer, clearer leadership. This builds psychological safety, inspiring teams to innovate without fear. Start by writing a compassionate letter to yourself—as if from a kind friend—validating pains like failure or shame. Practice this “safety, challenge, overwhelm” model: ease into tenderness before fierce motivation, avoiding burnout. Leaders who model this vulnerability foster trust and collaboration. What an excellent mindset shift I experienced! Thanks to Mindful Science Centre for enabling this rich inner engineering experience ! What self-compassion practice has transformed your leadership? Share below—let’s build kinder workplaces together. #SelfCompassion #Leadership #MindfulSelfCompassion

"Don’t be a King. Be a Kingmaker." 👑 In today’s world, we’re often taught to chase the crown — titles, designations, recognition. But real leadership isn’t always about being at the top. It’s about helping others rise. A King rules. A Kingmaker creates rulers. And in doing so, leaves a legacy far more lasting than any title ever could. Think about this... 🔹 A great manager who grooms 5 average reps into future leaders. 🔹 A mentor who sees potential in someone others ignored — and guides them to success. 🔹 A leader who celebrates their team’s wins louder than their own. 🔹 A coach who doesn’t just teach tactics, but instills belief, vision, and values. These are the Kingmakers — and every organization needs more of them. 💡 When you help someone else become successful, you're not stepping back — you're stepping up as a real leader. I’ve personally seen many quiet leaders who never sought credit but built teams that outperformed expectations. They didn’t chase crowns — they created them for others. Let’s not measure leadership by how many people follow us. Let’s measure it by how many people we help rise to their fullest potential. So the next time you're tempted to chase the spotlight, pause and ask: "Am I building others or just building my own image?" #Leadership #Kingmaker #MentorshipMatters #GrowTogether #TeamDevelopment #Empowerment #LeadershipLegacy #SuccessStories

Let's talk about the most underrated, health insurance in India. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐂) We all understand the importance of health insurance. In an era of skyrocketing 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬, a single health crisis should never become a financial crisis. We 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝. But what if the "peace of mind" from your private plan is limited? What happens when a bill exceeds your policy cap? This is where most of us misunderstand the sheer power of ESIC. It's often dismissed, but its benefits are enormous and, in many cases, unmatched by private insurers. Here’s why ESIC is a game-changer: 💥 𝐍𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩: This is the big one. Private policies have a "sum insured" limit. ESIC provides complete medical care with NO CEILING on the expenditure for the insured person and their entire family. 💥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 : There is no waiting period. You and your family are covered from the day you enter insurable employment. This includes pre-existing diseases. 💥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫: It doesn't just cover the employee; it provides the same unlimited medical care to their dependents. 💥 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: ESIC isn't just health insurance; it's a social security scheme. It provides cash benefits, like: 𝐒𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭: 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝟕𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞. 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭: 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟔 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭'𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭: 𝐀 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐲. The benefits are truly massive, yet so few professionals fully understand them, I've broken down this exact comparison—ESIC vs. Private Health Insurance—in my new YouTube video. Don't just overlook it. Understand it. Watch the full video here: [https://lnkd.in/gza8eBef] What's your take? Is ESIC the most underrated benefit for employees in India? Let's discuss in the comments
