The biggest mistake global companies make is assuming trust comes from reporting structures. Trust is earned when teams understand the business deeply enough to challenge assumptions, solve problems before they’re assigned, and think beyond delivery timelines. That idea sits at the heart of the latest episode of GCCs Unfiltered, where Nitika Goel (She/Her) sits down with Ankur Mittal, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, and Managing Director of Lowe's India, to unpack how one of the world’s largest home improvement retailers built teams that understand business outcomes as deeply as they understand technology. With over two decades in technology leadership, Ankur shares why functional ownership, articulation, curiosity, and risk-taking are becoming the real differentiators in modern global enterprises. A conversation on influence, leadership, and what it really takes to earn a seat at the table. 🎧 Tune in now: https://lnkd.in/gkcysYga #gccsunfiltered #lowes #zinnovpodcast #gccs

A couple of weeks ago, we hosted another edition of Breakroom - a space where associates and leaders come together for open conversations, fresh perspectives and meaningful connections over a cup of coffee. Started in 2024, Breakroom was built on a simple idea: making conversations between associates and leaders more open and approachable. Since then, it has continued to grow with every edition, bringing in more voices, perspectives and stories along the way. From discussions around AI at work and business priorities to conversations about leadership journeys, advice for Gen Z and what inspires our leaders, the session created an engaging and comfortable space for honest conversations beyond day-to-day work. A big thank you to everyone who joined and made the conversations insightful, inspiring and full of energy. Here’s to many more moments of connection and collaboration. In the Spotlight: Anurag Vats “My journey at Lowe’s has been shaped by opportunities to grow across key retail functions, including Stores, Merchandising, and Supply Chain Finance. These experiences have broadened my perspective on the business and strengthened my belief in the power of strong teams, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making to drive meaningful impact. One of the most defining aspects of this journey has been the trust that leaders have placed in me, which has empowered me to take on new challenges and shaped my own leadership style. Extending that same trust to my associates, by giving them ownership, space to think independently, and confidence to deliver, has led to stronger engagement, higher quality of work, and greater work satisfaction across the team. What I value most about Lowe’s is its culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous growth. It is a place where people are empowered to take ownership, solve meaningful problems, and grow through opportunities that create real business impact. I’m grateful for the trust, support, and opportunities I’ve received, and proud to be part of an organization that continues to invest in its people and their growth. I look forward to continuing this journey and contributing to Lowe’s success in the years ahead.” Discover more stories of associates shaping impact, driving growth and building a culture of purpose at #LowesForYou: https://lnkd.in/gS9aHyEF #LowesIndia #AssociateJourneys #LowesForYou
