Over the past four years, Dasra, in partnership with Bloomberg, has led D4GX India—an initiative that champions data-led innovation to reimagine the role of data in development. By putting communities at the center, D4GX India has empowered approximately 40 organizations and fostered a vibrant ecosystem of inclusive, data-driven innovation across 22+ states in India. This has been supported by around 35 Bloomberg mentors contributing expertise in data, analytics and strategy. All of this has been in service of one goal: ensuring that data systems reflect the lived experiences and voices of those most often excluded. As we look back on this journey, we’re excited to see Bloomberg bring this initiative to Singapore with The Majurity Trust and Talent Trust, carrying the momentum forward. The Data for Good Exchange (D4GX) programme by Bloomberg was launched at the annual The Majurity Conversations for social impact leaders. In partnership with The Majurity Trust, the D4GX initiative offers $360,000 in grants to support six charities implement data-driven solutions, with mentoring from data and technology experts from Bloomberg’s network. The Majurity Conversations had 150 social impact leaders discuss and gain insights on the Art and Science of Social Impact. Martin Tan, CEO of The Majurity Trust said, "Ultimately, data is needed for us to make better and more informed decisions.
