KARM for Young Indian Women Convocation 2025 👩🎓 This year, I graduated from KARM for Young Indian Women, a platform that shaped me over the last 3 years alongside my college. At the convocation, receiving my certificate from Dr. Meeran Chadha Borwankar was an honor for me. Her inspiring story and lessons from small incidents were empowering for all the women present. She echoed the importance of raising our voices against crime and injustice around us, and emphasized continuous learning throughout life. Being conferred in our traditional style by Radhika Bharat Ram ma'am, Vinita Johorey ma'am, Kartik Bharatram sir, and Amitav Virmani sir was both elating and nostalgic. The energy there was invincible. I recalled my entire journey over the last three years while walking towards the stage. This journey was tough but filled with joyful moments and love for each other. Forever grateful to have been a part of this institution. ❤️

Still soaking in the wisdom from today’s KARM Awaaz Talk with the incredible Hemakshi Meghani ma’am. It was an absolute honour to host and facilitate this insightful session as a KARM for Young Indian Women alumna & KARM Awaaz facilitator along with Tanya Mittal (KARM fellow). A heartfelt thank you to Radhika Bharat Ram ma'am for making spaces like these possible—where young women can learn, reflect, and find the courage to lead their journeys with purpose. Thank you for your time and wisdom, Hemakshi Meghani ma’am. It was lovely to hear from you! Here are a few powerful takeaways that I’ll carry forward in my life: ✨ Anchor your life with the 4 P’s: People, Purpose, Place, Practices. 🌱 Honour your life and whatever you do—how you show up for life, it shows up for you ♻️ If you don’t learn the lesson, life will repeat it. ⚡ Be open to new thunders—new possibilities. 🌀 Don’t attach your worth to one version of yourself—you’re more than your profile. 🌌 Trust the universe. Trust yourself. 🗣️ Always hold onto the whisper: “I’ll figure it out. I don’t know how, but I know I will.” 🏗️ Build your roof when it’s not leaking—prepare, reflect, and evolve even when things seem fine. To be stronger when your roof actually leak... 🎥 Missed it? You can watch the full session here: https://lnkd.in/dR7UFm4X We at KARM Awaaz are building a movement of young women, by young women—for bold, self-defined lives. Feeling privileged to be part of it! No words can truly capture what I’m feeling—or what I’ve felt over the last five years. My heart is full—not just with gratitude, but with deep appreciation for the opportunity to do this work. I can proudly say that KARM for Young Indian Women isn’t like any other program. In fact, there is nothing quite like KARM. What we have built is nothing short of transformational—a one-of-a-kind institution that stands tall for gender parity in our country. It’s not just a program; it’s a movement, a force for systemic change, and a testament to what’s possible when we believe in the power of young women. #change #karmmovement #genderparity #womenleaders #institutionbuilding

This weekend, my heart swelled with something so deep, it’s hard to describe in words. I had the absolute honour of being part of the Karm foundation convocation ceremony — celebrating the incredible young women from the graduating batch of 2025. These girls, full of dreams, strength, and unstoppable spirit, stood on the brink of something new. In their eyes, I didn’t just see potential — I saw purpose. As a newly appointed mentor with Karm, this wasn’t just another event. It was a powerful reminder of why I do what I do. Why I started SecondAct, a space to help people rediscover themselves and step into their full potential, Why I built Pedal On, to support the wellbeing and livelihoods of women, Why I’m proud to be part of INKWomen, where we’re helping voices rise and be heard — loud and clear. Because this is what full-circle moments look like. When you witness girls stepping into their light, owning their stories, and shaping their future with fierce confidence — and you know, in some small way, you helped create that space… it humbles you. It moves you. It changes something within. Radhika and Kartik Bharatram — I’ve seen many incredible social initiatives, but what you’ve created through Karm is something else entirely. There were tears, laughter, quiet reflection, and an unmistakable sense of unity in that room. It wasn’t just a convocation — it was a collective heartbeat. A space where emotion, intention, and purpose took root. We often talk about women empowerment — but what does it really mean? To me, it means being present at the very start of someone's journey. It means nurturing confidence before it’s loud. It means believing in someone, even when they don’t fully believe in themselves. It means giving quietly, without needing to be seen. Supporting girls at this stage — when self-doubt wrestles with ambition, when the world hasn’t quite embraced them yet — that’s where real change begins. And if I get to be part of that change... then truly, life has come full circle. To the incredible girls of Karm 2025, and the new batch of 2028 ! Dream big. Live boldly. And never forget the fire within you. I’m rooting for you. I’m walking beside you. And I’m learning from you, every single day. Here’s to more heartfelt initiatives, more open doors, and more dreams coming true — one girl, one step, one story at a time. 💛 P.S. — Going back to The Shri Ram School, where our daughter Pallak graduated from, brought a rush of emotions. I only wish I was doing this back then too — it would’ve given me more reasons to catch glimpses of her during the day. 💝 #SecondAct #KarmFoundation #INKWomen #PedalOn #GirlsWithDreams #MentorshipMatters #FullCircle

𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘴 ✨ Yesterday, I witnessed something extraordinary - the graduation of the batch of #Praveenas from the KARM Fellowship Program. As I sat in the convocation hall, watching these young women receive their recognition, I couldn't help but feel so emotional, filled with profound gratitude for being even a small part of this transformative movement. Thank you KARM 🙏 KARM for Young Indian Women isn't just a foundation; it's a vision brought to life by Radhika Bharat Ram and so brilliantly stewarded by Vinita Johorey. It stands as a beacon for gender equity, creating pathways for young women to not just pursue their university degrees, but to truly thrive beyond academics. What has moved me most about their work is the commitment to "paying it forward." These Praveenas haven't just received support; they've embraced a philosophy of lifting others as they rise. Sakshi Chaudhary and her peers now carry not only academic credentials but also the powerful human skills that will distinguish them in their journeys ahead. The inspiring address by Dr. Meeran Chadha Borwankar (DG Police, Retd.) left us all in awe. Her remarkable journey of determination in the Indian Police Service – at a time when she chose a path "not meant for women" and then rising to the highest echelons despite all odds – embodied the very spirit KARM seeks to instil. Her words, "𝘒𝘰𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯 𝘬𝘪 𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘩𝘪 𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘪" (Those who persevere never truly lose), resonated deeply throughout the hall. To Sakshi and all the Praveenas: Your journeys inspire us more than you know. We believe wholeheartedly in your potential, and trust that you will responsibly elevate others as you have been elevated. Live with conviction, embrace continuous learning, and embody the vision that brought you here. To the parents and families: You are raising powerful young women who will reshape our society. The pride in your eyes today speaks volumes about the strength of your support. As a mentor, my door remains forever open – for guidance, discussions, heart-to-hearts, and to celebrate your future triumphs. This isn't goodbye; it's the beginning of a new chapter in our shared story. #KARMFoundation #WomenEmpowerment #MentorshipMatters #GenderEquity #EducationForAll #PayItForward
