Global Safety Leader Portwest Doubling US Logistics Footprint with New Las Vegas Expansion. LAS VEGAS, NV - Portwest, the world’s fastest-growing workwear company, today announced a significant investment in its North American operations with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. This strategic move effectively doubles the company’s US warehousing capacity, specifically designed to streamline distribution and provide lightning-fast service to customers across the West Coast. Since establishing its primary US hub in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2014, Portwest has experienced massive growth across all 50 states. The Las Vegas expansion marks a pivotal moment in the brand’s mission to provide premium, certified safety products with reduced lead times and enhanced local support. James Hughes, USA Sales Director "By doubling our warehousing capacity, we are ensuring that our West Coast partners receive the rapid, reliable service they expect. This investment isn't just about square footage; it's about our commitment to growth and our promise to keep American workers safe with the best gear on the market." Strengthening the Pan-American Footprint: The move follows a series of high-profile global acquisitions that have solidified Portwest’s dominance in the Western Hemisphere. The recent integration of the IFR safety brand in Canada and the Kondor footwear factory in Colombia has provided the company with unparalleled manufacturing and distribution access to both North and South American markets. "This new Las Vegas facility is a direct response to the incredible demand we’ve seen for the Portwest brand in the US market." A Legacy of Innovation: Portwest, founded in 1904 by Charles Hughes in Westport, Co. Mayo, has grown from a small family business into a fourth‑generation global leader in safety workwear, employing over 6,000 people worldwide. The company is recognized as a market leader across multiple international territories, offering an extensive range of flame‑resistant, high‑visibility, and technical workwear, with over 1,350 safety products sold in more than 130 countries. With its new Las Vegas facility expected to be fully operational by year’s end, Portwest continues to strengthen its position as a major innovator and disruptor in the North American safety apparel industry, backed by more than 120 years of expertise in designing high‑quality, comfortable, and standards‑compliant workwear.
