Hi Fwintersdottir! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Stephen McAll and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. My apologies. I have resubmitted the text. I did not realise that it was reverted. This text has been researched and I think does contain appropriate citations - however, I will double check everything that I included and resubmit only when everything is beyond any doubt. Thank you for your help. I did write it myself, however I used an LLM to help with editing the wiki code so that the references displayed properly - however I see that these have not. I do not have experience with LLM so I did not realise that this was disallowed. I assumed that if my content was correct and properly referenced to strong sources, that I would be able to use outside tools to help write the code. I will rewrite completely myself within a sandbox and once I am satisfied. I will let you know. It would help me if you were to check my sources to help me before I would try to submit again. In short; do not use LLMs on Wikipedia, period. To understand how to format the sourcing templates -- just read the documentation: Template:Cite web for example. You should also read through H:INTRO and other links that you were given in your § Welcome! message above. You can also try using the WP:VISUAL editor if you want. For the sources, we prefer WP:SECONDARY sources, since Wikipedia just reports on what other sources says, it is one of the WP:5PILLARS of Wikipedia. But sure, I can read through your work in your sandbox if you want, just let me know when you want me to take a look.

Thank you! I appreciate that. I am finding my way with wiki and would like to be able to write better articles. Yes, I should have a look at the rules in more depth - I was eager to write my first articles and probably didn't give adequate time to understanding everything properly. I will take your advice and look at everything properly. I did not realise about the visual editor! Wow! Okay, so I definitely have a long way to go. Yes, the visual editor would help me very much. That's fine, we're all new in the beginning :) And being reverted on Wikipedia is not a big deal, it happens all the time and it is a part of the bold-revert-discuss WP:CYCLE. Generally, if/when someone reverts you, then the next step should be to discuss it with them. Most importantly, don't take it personally. It happens to everyone (including me, obviously). And I very much understand the eagnerness, prodding around Wikipedia is (and should be) fun!

Another impotant bit of advice: LLMs are incredibly bad at anything related to Wikipedia. They don't understand our rules and conventions, they don't understand the syntax of wikitext and if you ever use one in a Talk page discussion (important: I am NOT claiming that you have, I just want you to be aware of this), then it will be taken as an affront and all productive discussion will most likely end there (WP:AITALK and WP:LLMCOMM). These things have no place on Wikipedia, and I suggest to simply abandon all and any usage of them on Wikipedia, right here and right now. This is a place where you should engage your own brain as much as possible, thinking for yourself is quite honestly a huge part of contributing to Wikipedia. --Gurkubondinn (talk) 15:01, 22 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

That sounds great. I have not reverted those changes (and I don't plan to), I just spotted that as something that can be improved. I don't know nearly enough about the subject at hand to do that myself though, but it sounds like you do. There is WP:NORUSH to do anything on Wikipedia, and you are under no WP:OBLIGATION to do it either. Unless you want to do something, you are not required to do it. The only thing that is actually required is to WP:COMMUNICATE (which you are doing right now) if someone brings any concerns to you (you can of course stop editing at any time and leave Wikipedia for any reason, but as long as you are here and editing then you should also communicate.
