Hi,I am evaluating the LSM6DSV16X for a project that requires gyroscope Angular Random Walk (ARW) and In-Run Bias Stability specifications. Hello, I would like to use a magnetometer to develop a small system that can discern the presence of a certain object with a magnet mounted on top of it. For this reason I got a X-NUCLEO-IKS5A1 as a starting point.From my understanding the faster approach was to connect the NUCLEO board NUCLEO-F401RE (which I already had) to the aforementioned X-NUCLEO board with the software MEMS-Studio.So I followed the procedure explained here:  and applied it to the “new” X-NUCLEO -IKS5A1 board (instead of the IKS4A1 described in the video).I’ve successfully programmed the board with the supplied firmware (STMicroelectronics/MEMS Studio/firmware/mems-studio/x-nucleo-iks5a1/nucleo-f401re/DataLogExtended.bin, Interface MASS STORAGE, Device_ NODE_F401RE).But when I try to connect the board it says:And I cannot go further with the procedure.Is there something wrong with my procedure? Hi,I'm measuring the power consumption of the LIS2DUXS12 for FSM, MLC, and the step counter with or without Smart Power mode (SMART_POWER_EN bit in CTRL1). The current reduction matches my expectations (e.g. ~13.3 µA down to ~8.2 µA with 1 FSM program running). AN5909 describes the mechanism as dynamically scaling the supply current of the embedded function hardware blocks between "operating level" and "lower non-operating level".My question: Is there any trade-off to enabling Smart Power mode besides the current savings? For example:Any added latency? Any impact on accuracy? Any recommended ODR for Smart Power? Any settling time when switching between operating and non-operating levels?I couldn't find this addressed in the AN5909 or the datasheet, and I haven't found any existing thread relating to this. Any clarification would be appreciated.Thanks!

Did anyone have issue with freezing LPS22DFsensor?Have it connected using 4 wire SPI at 3.3 and 3.3  Volts. It successfully starts and reads temperature and air pressure once and than stays at the same value with no updates until I reset power on it. I can still read the Who_Am_I register which returns the correct valie (zeroed every time after it is read, so no doubt it reads every time) but the Air pressure and Temperature registers not updating. I use NoFIFO setting and sensor updating once per second. What I may be doing wrong?I do not use burst mode for reading and read individual bytes separately (not sure why but burst reading does not work for me)Using MikroC compiler.and PIC18F25K83 MCU

Hi, We are using the ASM330LHHTR in our design and would like clarification regarding the INT1 pin configuration. We intend to configure INT1 as an active-low interrupt with the output driver set to open-drain.However, the datasheet seems to indicate that active-low operation requires a push-pull configuration.Kindly let me know the details.Thanks

Our application is an intelligent antenna pointing system that uses two identical sets of IIS2MDC magnetometer + ISM330DHCX accelerometer/gyroscope — one pair on our base board, and one pair attached to the moving gimbal. Our overall hardware design was based on the IOT02A board: we got the DataLogFusion running flawlessly on the ST IOT02A first, then subsequently ported that code-base to our own STM32U5-based system.Our code currently runs MotionFX sensor fusion with two instance memory pointers, with each pair of MEMS sensors feeding into the MotionFX library at a 100 Hz interval — as recommended, and as we saw done in the DataLogFusion example for a single set of magnetometer, accelerometer and gyroscope sensors.  Our firmware design used the DataLogFusion example application and setup as a starting point and then adapted it with multiple instances as we have two sets of sensors in our hardware controlled by a single STM32U575ZIT MCU.Most of the MotionFX API takes an explicit instan

We are evaluating the IIS3DWB10IS for a battery-powered vibration condition-monitoring node (STM32WLE5 + LoRaWAN, ~5 minute duty cycle, multi-year target on a primary cell). Our current IIS3DWB design measures 1.5 µA for the whole node by cutting the sensor's supply rail between wakes.Two things in DS14585 Rev 1 / AN6497 Rev 1 (DM01264337) pull against each other:- IddPD = 26 µA typ makes a load switch effectively mandatory against a 1.5 µA budget.- The ISPU has no non-volatile memory (AN6497 §1), so cutting that rail also erases the program — every wake has to reload it over SPI before it can do anything.My arithmetic says reloading is much the cheaper of the two: at a 300 s cycle, roughly 0.07–0.29 mA·s per wake to reload (4–32 KB program) against 7.8 mA·s to leave the part in power-down. Hello, I want to set LSM6DSV's both accelerometer and gyro's output rate to 960Hz. And I want to use INT1 pin to signal Data-Ready. My question is whether I should set INT1_CTRL register's b1: INT1_DRDY_G or b0: INT1_DRDY_XL. The user manual says: "When both the accelerometer and gyroscope are on, the accelerometer is synchronized with the gyroscope, and the data rates of the two sensors are integer multiples of each other." It sounds like if I set both output rates to 960, I can assume that when accelerometer's data is ready, the gyroscope's data is also ready. So will it be correct to just set INT1_CTRL register's b0 to 1?

Should this SETDASA/ENTDAA follow all timing parameters as I2C Fm+? For NXP I3C, it’s not hard to set a suitable baud rate for this, but it’s impossible to meet all timing for a ENTDAA operation. Can ST I3C IP run ENTDAA with I2C timing to meet your sensor product?  

Dear all,We are using the LIS2DW12TR on a custom PCB and have observed significant offset errors on the Z-axis, reaching up to ±20% of full scale.The sensitivity appears to be correct; however, instead of measuring the expected values of +1 g and −1 g, we obtain readings such as +1.17 g and −0.83 g. This suggests a substantial offset while the sensitivity remains largely unaffected.The X- and Y-axes do not exhibit this behavior and remain within specification.The most unusual aspect is, that the offset is not stable. It changes very slowly over time, typically over a period of several days, without any intentional modification of the hardware or software configuration.Has anyone experienced similar behavior with the LIS2DW12TR or identified possible causes such as PCB stress, assembly process effects, flux contamination, humidity, temperature exposure, or aging effects?Any recommendations for further investigation would be greatly appreciated.Best regards,Reto

In the STEVAL-MKI183V1’s data brief sheet it’s saying that it uses LPS33HW product family barometer sensors. But when you click on the linked web site of the LPS33HW product it takes you to LPS28DFW’s ST web site. So is the board got update and it now uses LPS28DFW or is it a mistake? If it’s a mistake; where is the LPS33HW’s web site? Because i can’t find it on web. There is no website for LPS33HW on ST that i can find datasheet of it.If there is someone knows that answer please let me know.
