Back in 2021, we set ourselves a goal… Double the number of active Partners with Disabilities (PWDs) on our platform by 2025. Why? Because we believe everyone deserves a shot at success. And with support from local governments and NGOs, we’ve exceeded our target a whole year early. In 2024, there were over 5,140 PWDs (40% of whom are deaf or mute) earning their way with Grab and inspiring us with their perseverance. But what does this mean for the future of Grab? It means we’re driving for an ecosystem that emphasises inclusivity for all without exception. Looking ahead, we're setting our sights high: by 2030, we aim to empower 300,000 women and PWD driver-partners to earn through Grab. So here it is: thanks to our amazing Grab community – that's you and our incredible partners – Q1 2025 has been a major win 🎉 Just a few noteworthy highlights: - 44.5 million people used Grab monthly – that's 16% more than last year! - 60% of users are using multiple Grab services – from food to rides to more. - More driver and merchant-partners are active on Grab than ever, now with AI-powered tools to boost their game. But the key takeaway is this: none of this happens without your support. You keep us going, and you're a huge part of helping our partners earn a good living. It's a win-win for real. P.S. Last month, our CTO, Suthen Thomas Paradatheth, visited one of our Tech R&D Centers in Ho Chi Minh City. From an energizing Tech Townhall and an open AMA with our engineers to in-depth conversations with local leaders, his visit reinforced our commitment to Vietnam as a vital part of Grab’s tech journey. Today, Vietnam is home to several mission-critical teams powering Grab’s regional ecosystem. From the Grab for Business (GFB) team, to the Sentry team maintaining our Tier-0 partner gateway, to teams focused on user experience, observability, invoicing automation, and more — Vietnamese engineers are shaping solutions that have impact across Southeast Asia. We are proud to be pioneers of AI in the region and see immense potential in Generative AI to further transform how we solve problems for our users and partners — and enhance the way Grabbers work and innovate every day. With a 60% year-on-year growth in our R&D team in Vietnam, we see Vietnam not just as a key market, but as an emerging hub for innovation in the region.
