Last month, our CTO, Suthen Thomas Paradatheth, visited one of our Tech R&D Centers in Ho Chi Minh City. From an energizing Tech Townhall and an open AMA with our engineers to in-depth conversations with local leaders, his visit reinforced our commitment to Vietnam as a vital part of Grab’s tech journey. Today, Vietnam is home to several mission-critical teams powering Grab’s regional ecosystem. From the Grab for Business (GFB) team, to the Sentry team maintaining our Tier-0 partner gateway, to teams focused on user experience, observability, invoicing automation, and more — Vietnamese engineers are shaping solutions that have impact across Southeast Asia. We are proud to be pioneers of AI in the region and see immense potential in Generative AI to further transform how we solve problems for our users and partners — and enhance the way Grabbers work and innovate every day. With a 60% year-on-year growth in our R&D team in Vietnam, we see Vietnam not just as a key market, but as an emerging hub for innovation in the region.
