In.Business: A National Mentorship Program for Indigenous Youth is the high school business mentorship program facilitated by the Purdy Crawford Chair in Aboriginal Business studies at Cape Breton University.
In.Business teams Aboriginal high school students in grades 10, 11, and 12 with Aboriginal business mentors, who are educated, working professionals with a background in business. During the course of the school year, students work on bi-weekly business challenges facilitated by their mentors using smartphone technology (either a smartphone or tablet, provided to them by CBU).
The primary goal of these challenges, and this program, was to help the students explore various facets of business so that they can make informed decisions about their future educational plans, which will hopefully include business.

Take your business to the next level - Roger Grona
What are a few things you can do to take your business to the next level? What does a person or business need to do to do this? Is your goal large enough? Are you taking the right steps and actions to get you closer to that target? I will do my best to simplify and cover off some of the more important things to reach that next level in your business or personal life.

"Is your prospect becoming a client?" - Roger Grona - Firebird Business Consulting
You have studied your analytics and have come up with a good (or even great) advertising campaign. You are not 100 percent happy with your results. The results were decent for your advertising, the prospects came but only a few became clients. This is not the first time this has happened. Are you feeling like your sales closing could be more effective? This is a common question by business owners......

"Be A Person That Makes Things Happen" - by Roger Grona
I think we have all been around people who talk about action or have a tendency to talk about the things they have accomplished......but when it comes down to making things happen they can't. I believe your actions and accomplishments should speak for themselves. To increase your success, surround yourself with others that make things happen. I learned this lesson in my early years in business. Now I only work with people that make things happen......

It's never about just about building homes, it's about building communities.
Like most of our fellow Saskatchewan citizens, North Ridge Development Corporation is extremely sensitive to the value of our health care. We're particularly concerned for those whose needs are most urgent. Thus, we're honored to have the opportunity to launch a unique fundraising initiative, benefiting the Intensive Care Unit of the Victoria Hospital Foundation in Prince Albert.
As North Ridge Development Corporation celebrates our 30th anniversary as one of Saskatchewan's leading residential builder and land developer, giving back to the community in this way perfectly reflects Saskatchewan's character, and North Ridge's values: Honesty, Integrity and Safety.

Pink House Campaign
I worked closely with Breast Health Centre for Saskatoon City Hospital in creating the "Pink House Campaign" that has evolved into an annual event. Raising money for a great cause that affects almost every family directly or indirectly. A great summary of the campaign is in this article http://campbellhomes.ca/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Well-Aware-Summer-2012-Pink-House-June4-12.pdf . I am glad that I was a part of it of this fund raising for this event.:-)

We currently have 35 investor members interested in seeing good investment opportunities in startup and growth-focused entrepreneurial companies, particularly those based in Saskatchewan. Through presentation and networking events, Saskatchewan Capital Network facilitates the introduction of investment-ready entrepreneurial companies to potential investors. Events are held in Saskatoon and Regina based on deal flow – typically every two to three months. Saskatchewan Capital Network investor members are interested in technology-based companies with a proprietary product or service, as well as companies in other industries with high growth potential. Saskatchewan Capital Network does not manage a pool of funds. All investor members make their own investment decisions. Our objective is to encourage Saskatchewan entrepreneurs to build successful, sustainable businesses.
