I think a lot of people are going to be surprised about what CIRA does for the Canadian Internet and Cybersecurity. ChannelNEXT is excited to be the launch platform for CIRA in the channel! Tim Brien is an outstanding channel warrior and he is leading the channel charge for the company. Who is CIRA? They are the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, operates top-level domain services and the Hello Registry platform, and manages roughly 800 top-level domains globally. CIRA will be announcing a channel-oriented product release to be unveiled at the ChannelNext event on May 28–29 in Toronto. The primary product announcement is a new channel-based program and platform that will let MSPs of varying sizes self-provision services, control deployments without external teams, and scale enterprise-grade security offerings. All development, technical support, and SOC services for the platform are located in Canada.

Proud to share that Microlynx Systems has received $2 million in repayable federal funding through PrairiesCan's Regional Defence Investment Initiative. The investment supports our work advancing high-power RF transmit amplifiers for Canada's Over-the-Horizon Radar network — technology that directly supports Arctic domain awareness and NORAD modernization. This isn't new ground for us. We've been doing this work for years, and this funding lets us push further and faster than we could on our own. The announcement was covered by Global TV, CityTV, CBC, and the Calgary Herald. The Herald put it well: programs like this are especially instrumental for small and medium businesses to strengthen capacity and competitiveness on the national stage. Small companies don't always get the recognition. But the backbone of Canada's defence sector is built by companies like ours: specialized, focused, and very good at what we do. Today, we’re proud to share a major milestone in Canadian connectivity.     In collaboration with AST SpaceMobile, we’ve successfully completed Canada’s first space-based direct-to-cell 4G voice over LTE (VoLTE) call, broadband data and video stream.    This breakthrough brings us closer to bridging the connectivity gap for remote communities across the country, from coastal villages to northern regions.
